There’s a bigger issue here than a loose cable ⚠️🔌

When my power chair started cutting out, I called Numotion 📞
They told me it wasn’t an emergency… because I have a manual chair 🤦‍♂️🦽

Here’s the part people miss 👇
I’m basically useless in my manual chair 🚫💪

❌ No power chair = no transfers
❌ No independence
❌ No leaving the apartment
❌ No real backup plan

They did “expedite” the part 📦⚡️
That was a week ago ⏳
Still haven’t heard a thing 👻

And this isn’t rare.
This is a known failure point ⚙️
The constant motion of a swing-away joystick slowly destroys the cable over time 🔄🔧
Wheelchair users are expected to just… deal with it 😑

Luckily 🍀 I had a spare cable buried in storage 📦🧺
Full Limitless moment — NZT brain activated 🧠⚡️
I somehow remembered exactly where it was 😅

But here’s the real win 👇
My roommate Josiah stepped in 🙌
He’s also a wheelchair user ♿️
Mechanically inclined 🛠️
Fixed my chair when my hands couldn’t 🤝

And while we were figuring it out…
He loaned me his own power chair 🦽❤️
So I wasn’t stuck.
That matters more than people realize.

This is what the wheelchair community actually looks like ❤️
We problem-solve 🧠
We share resources 🔄
We keep each other moving when the system doesn’t 🚀

🙏 Shout-out to Josiah — thank you, man

Not for sympathy — for visibility 👀
Because “not an emergency” shouldn’t mean
“figure it out yourself.” ♿️⚡️
Para on a quad? lol.
This is how my roommate Josiah gets on and off an ATV as a paraplegic 🛞♿️

No edits. No hype. Just real mechanics and muscle memory.

🦵 One leg over the seat
🫴 Hands on the handlebar + rear rack
💥 Commit to the transfer
🔑 Turn the key
🚀 And go

Huge shoutout to Permobil ♿️ — the seat elevator is doing real work here.
Being able to raise up high enough makes this transfer possible and way safer.
From a Permobil power chair ➡️ straight onto a Yamaha four wheeler 🏍️

Free Bird guitar solo because once the wheels start moving, the rest takes care of itself 🎸🦅

This isn’t about “overcoming.”
It’s about adapting, figuring it out, and refusing to sit still.

Manual to power mode in seconds — this is the Power-Flex by Soul Mobility ⚡🪑
No tools. No second chair. Just modular mobility that fits real life.

What you’re seeing 👇
✨ Lean-back pressure relief (yes, I’m using it here 😌)
✨ Manual wheels remove → Power-Flex connects directly 🔁
✨ Top speed: 5 mph 🕹️
✨ Range: 12 miles per charge 🔋
✨ Weight: 115 lbs — loadable into a car by one strong person
(realistically easier with help or solid upper-body strength 💪)

You keep your manual chair feel.
But when distance, terrain, or shoulders say “not today,” you Lean Back and keep moving 🎶

This doesn’t replace your chair — it expands it.
Push when you want. Power when you need. That’s freedom. 💯

If this kind of tech matters to you, share this with someone who uses a manual chair or is considering power assist.

🚽♿️ Just rolling across the street to get penetrated by modern medicine.
Five-minute commute. Five-star urology.

This is SCI healthcare done right with Dr. Andrew Zilavy at Colorado Urology, literally next door to Craig Hospital 🏥➡️♿️
Smart, responsive on MyHealth, explains everything, and somehow keeps it chill while doing very un-chill things.

🎈 Balloon deflated
💉 Luer-lock locked
💧 Sterile water only (because surprise deflation is not the vibe)
🧴 Jelly = glide technology
⏱️ In. Out. Seated perfectly.
😌 No mess, no panic, no “well that escalated.”

Bonus: also helping manage chronically low testosterone because SCI care isn’t just plumbing—it’s systems management 🧠💪

Kitchen fail ➡️ accessibility win 🌮♿️

Tonight’s episode of “things no one teaches you in rehab” 😅

I’m browning ground beef, go to shake out the taco seasoning…
packet sticks, I adjust my grip, body says ABSOLUTELY NOT ⚡️
Massive spasm.
Seasoning airborne 🌪️
Me… hanging sideways on my armrest, one bad decision away from the floor 😬

Somehow I stayed in my chair.
Kitchen looked like Taco Bell had beef with me 🌮💥

At first I thought, I’ll just wait for my caregiver tomorrow.
Then I realized my roommate and I don’t need to be rolling through cumin footprints all night 👣🌶️

So I improvised.
Wet towel 🧼
Wheelchair lowered ⬇️
Footplates down for pressure ♿️
DIY mop mode activated 🧠✨

And it worked.
No fall.
No help.
Mess handled.

Accessibility isn’t about never making messes.
It’s about figuring out how to clean them up anyway 💪

Massive love to 🧘‍♀️💙
This place is truly something special.

I can literally roll up to a yoga studio, get transferred safely onto a mat, and be fully supported through an entire class ♿️➡️🧘‍♂️
That alone is rare. Doing it with patience, skill, and zero awkwardness? That’s next level.

They build what they call a King’s Chair 👑
Basically all the support of my wheelchair… on the floor.
From there, they slowly help stretch, move, and position my body into whatever poses we’re working on that day. No rushing. No forcing. Just listening, adjusting, and breathing.

The accessibility matters.
The pay-what-you-can model matters 💸❤️
And a class pass that gets you around 6 classes for about $60 makes this one of the most affordable adaptive-friendly wellness spaces I’ve ever experienced.

It’s also right across from ☕🍺
Both spots are less than a mile from my apartment and about a 15-minute roll when the weather cooperates 🌤️♿️
Being able to independently get to yoga like this is something I don’t take lightly.

Background music is Breathe 🎧
Which fits perfectly—because I live life at a pretty high frequency ⚡️
Yoga forces me to slow it down, take my time, and remember to breathe… and my nervous system is better for it.

This isn’t performative wellness.
This is real access.
Real support.
Real movement.

♿️🧘‍♂️✨🫁💪👑💙🔥
This grocery store is about ¾ of a mile from my apartment 🏙️➡️🛒
On a good day, it’s a 15-minute roll in my chair ♿️💨
If the weather’s trash 🌧️❄️🌬️, I take the bus 🚌
Same goal. Different route.

I grocery shop independently as a C5 quadriplegic by keeping it simple 👇
If I can reach it… I get it 🙌
If I can’t… I ask for help 🤝
And almost every single time, people are incredibly kind ❤️

I also make healthy choices before I ever get home 🥦🍓🥩
I mostly buy nutritious food so when I open my fridge…
that’s what’s there 😅
Basically forcing myself into good decisions without relying on willpower 🧠✔️

That said…
🧊 Nutty Bars
🍪 Cookies & Cream / Oreo ice cream
Still very much part of the plan 😌🍦

Independence doesn’t mean doing everything alone 💭
It means problem-solving 🛠️
Adapting 🔄
And not being afraid to ask for help 💪

🎶 Like the song says — I had some help 🎶

Follow for real life from my chair ♿️✨
Getting to bed as a C5 quadriplegic 🛏️♿️ isn’t glamorous… but it is independent 💪

🔌 First: plug in my chair
(Pro tip: don’t trust the joystick alone — you want that solid 🟠 light on the charger 😅⚡️)

🩺 Next: catheter setup
I run a thigh-mounted system during the day so I can drain independently, then at night I daisy-chain my night bag to my day bag 🧠➡️🛌
Wearing my catheter on the thigh allows me to conceal it whether I’m wearing shorts or pants and I add zippers 🤐 to my pants so I can access it independently.

👟 Then comes the leg struggle
Getting my legs up isn’t pretty, but I’ve mastered popping my shoes off using the foot of the bed like it’s a life skill Olympics event 🏆😂

None of this is inspirational.
It’s just routine 🔁
And routine = independence 🙌

Real life. Real systems. Real solutions.
Follow for the stuff you don’t usually see 👀♿️
Shaving. Independently. With steady enough hands. 😎✂️

This is my travel-size foil shaver that charges via USB-C ⚡
• Simple swipe touchscreen on/off
• Foil blades = clean beard lines even when my hands aren’t perfect
• Super close shave without wrecking my skin

For me, this isn’t about grooming trends — it’s about independence 💪
Finding tools that make everyday stuff easier instead of exhausting is a win every time.

If you’re a person with a disability trying to shave on your own, foil shavers are absolutely worth trying ♿
And if you’re able-bodied but just want something faster, cleaner, and low-maintenance… this works for you too.

Less hassle. More control. Still looking fresh. ✨
Follow for real-life independence hacks, adaptive tools, and zero inspiration-porn nonsense.
Merry Christmas 🎄

Today was quiet. A little boring at times.
So I chose creativity over cocktails, changed shirts five times, made a dumb video, cooked a healthy dinner, and went to bed early.

Not dramatic. Not sad.
Just learning how to be okay—and even good—on my own.

Stick around as I figure out what’s next in 2026 🤍
