This special moment just gets me… baby entering the world surrounded by loving family, and being caught by dad - his hands the very first to welcome bub earthside… How cool is that?! 🤩
You can feel how much love and safety is wrapped around this mama as she births, and that sense of security means everything - for her, and for baby too.
Big congrats to this mama and her beautiful family ❤️

When you’re held close, your body feels safe… and safety is what allows labour to progress.
✅ Oxytocin rises,
✅ Your nervous system settles,
✅ And your body can get on with the work of birthing your baby.
It’s one of the most beautiful tools, because it helps you feel connected, supported, and grounded through surges 🙌
If you and your partner want to feel confident, informed, and prepared for birth, my next Hypnobirthing Australia™ course is coming up this Sunday, and we’re going to get stuck into all of the knowledge, tools and techniques to support you both 💪
Dates are:
Sunday 17th & 24th May 8:30am - 4pm
At Hot Yoga Southport
Perfect for mums 20+ weeks pregnant
Click in my bio. Love to support you and your partner 🥰
When our children grow up seeing birth as something safe, familiar, and natural it changes everything.
This beautiful reel from authentically.julie shows going full circle… witnessing her own mother’s births, carrying that calm belief into her own pregnancies, and now giving her children that same gift ❤️
Because mindset starts early.
When birth is framed as scary or dangerous, our bodies hold that story.
And just like an athlete wouldn’t train believing they’re destined to fail, we can’t expect ourselves to step into labour confidently if fear is the foundation we were given.
Thank you to this beautiful mum for showing what’s possible… for reminding us what birth can be, and for helping normalise what our bodies are designed to do.

I grew up attending my mom’s homebirths in 1991, 1995, and 2003. Birth was never something to fear, it was just a normal part of life. So when I got pregnant in 2016, I already knew I wanted to have my babies at home too. She normalized birth for me, and now I get to do the same for my children 🥹
This technique comes from Mexican midwives and I first learnt it through.
You can see some of my April group course couples giving it a go here.
It is just one of the many tools I love teaching so couples feel confident heading into their birth, knowing they have techniques that support them and help labour progress 🙌
If you want to feel informed, empowered and prepared for your labour, with tools and techniques you and your partner can actually use, come join my next Hypnobirthing Australia™ Positive Birth Course on the Gold Coast.
The next group dates are May 17th and 24th.

Hugo’s labour and birth 🥹😭
One of the best days of my life. ❤️
His birth was everything I could have hoped for and more. There was so much love in the room it makes me cry just thinking about it. How beautiful it was to have my older babies by my side, supporting me and excitedly sharing the moment together that we welcomed their baby brother into the world. 😭 I will truly cherish this for the rest of my life.
Birth is something that I’ve always been passionate about and I hope by sharing this I can help change the fear based narrative out there told to so many women. We all hear the trauma stories but very rarely are we told how beautiful birth can be. It is so often feared and I get it. Our society has been conditioned to believe birth is scary but it doesn’t have to be. Find yourself a midwife or care provider who you trust wholeheartedly and who trusts you and leave the fear behind. Let’s be honest, it’s the worst thing you can bring to labour anyway! 🙈
So here’s to supporting women and sharing positive birth stories… because they happen too and can be the most empowering and special experience in the world! ❤️
Your birth, your choice. 🙏🏻
Thank you to my beautiful husband for always supporting me. Getting here was a long journey for us both but having you by my side meant I didn’t have to go through it alone. Thank you for trusting me to choose this. I know birthing at home felt a little scary to you but you trusted and supported me and I’ll be forever grateful ❤️🙏🏻 I love you.
In my Hypnobirthing Australia™ group course on the weekend, we went through one of my favourite “secret weapons” for helping baby navigate the pelvis:
✨ Asymmetrical movements - lunges are a good one.
Why? Because sometimes no progression in labour is simply your body & baby saying:
“Hang on… I need a bit more space.”
Baby may be in the mid‑pelvis, working their way past the bony points called the ischial spines, and that’s where an asymmetrical move like a lunge can be perfect.
👉 a lunge helps widen the space between the spines, giving baby more room to rotate & descend.
Try this:
✅ Bring one foot up on a chair
✅ Wrap your arms around your partner for balance & comfort
✅ Gently rock into the bent leg while having a contraction
✅ Alternate sides and let your instincts lead the way
When you’re in your labour flow state, your body will often guide you into these kinds of movements naturally.
But if you’re feeling watched, interrupted, or “in your head,” it’s harder to tune in, and that’s when a partner who knows a few movement tricks can support you through this.
👉 In my Hypnobirthing Australia™ course, I teach you and your partner practical ways to create space, mobility and alignment in the pelvis so labour can progress with more ease, along with all the hypnobirthing childbirth ed. to get you ready for birth. My next group course is 17th & 24th May - link in bio.
👉 And if you wanting a 3.5hr wkshop where we dive deeper into hands‑on partner prep? Come join my Body Ready Birth workshop on the Gold Coast. We dive into movement, comfort techniques, and pelvic space‑creating tools. Link in bio - would love to have you there 🥰
🎥 by the lovely a fellow Body Ready Method® pro I’ve worked with 🤩
She’s using two powerful tools here: staying upright and adding asymmetry with her foot up on the step.
✅ Upright positions help baby move down with gravity.
✅ And asymmetrical positions create extra space in the mid‑pelvis - the area where babies often need just a little more room to rotate past those bony points in the pelvis.
It’s such a clear reminder that when you understand how the pelvis works, the movements you choose can truly support your body and your baby 🤗

If there’s one thing that was a game changer for me & I encourage in labour… it’s this:
Stay upright and keep moving in labour.
Research shows that upright and mobile positions during labour can:
• Help labour progress more efficiently
• Support baby moving down
• Improve positioning
• Reduce the likelihood of interventions
• Even shorten labour time
Why?
Because when you’re upright:
✨ Gravity is working with you
✨ The pelvis can open more fully
✨ Contractions can be more effective
My advice?
Practice movements you want to use in labor DURING your pregnancy so it becomes more intuitive when IN labor.
Think swaying, leaning, kneeling, walking, using your birth ball or birth.
