Last major step is taking all the pieces, piling the correct sizes together and sewing it all together.
I use 3 different industrial sewing machines, each good at one thing: the straight stitch machine, coverstitch for hemming knits, and the serger for general seams.
I try to do everything in a bit of an assembly line, doing each step required per machine on each item before moving onto the next. It's a little bit if a puzzle trying to figure out the most efficient process.

This part always takes longer than expected, because I'm always trying to get the most out of the fabric I just printed so there is little wastage. I will cut the pieces for hats and undies wherever there is extra space in between the pattern pieces.
I use an electric rotary cutter to speed up the process

A lot of my prints require a repeat, which means lining the screen up with marks on a t-square and waiting for ink to dry before I can print next to it. It takes about an hour to print 6m of fabric this way.
