A milestone I will carry with pride for the rest of my life. Last Friday, I became an American citizen and May 15th, was also Teacher’s Day in Mexico, which made the moment even more meaningful to me. I had the honor of addressing the house, and sharing part of my journey 🥲 a journey filled with challenges, growth, gratitude, and dreams that once felt far away.
I’m also proud to now have the right to vote and fully participate in shaping the future of the country I now call home. At the same time, I remain deeply proud of my Latino roots and my Mexican heritage 🇲🇽❤️
I don’t take it for granted how lucky I am to share the studio with the incredible artists of pushing, refining, and growing together every single day. Being part of their process, even for a moment, is something I carry with a lot of gratitude.
And yesterday felt extra special. My last class in the studio with before her retirement 💐 what a privilege. Your presence, your artistry, and the way you move through space have left a mark that goes far beyond steps. Wishing you the most beautiful next chapter… you’ll be deeply missed in that studio. 💛
