Over the past few months, I’ve been grinding art every single day. I went from drawing maybe three times a year, to weekly, and now—it’s a daily habit. I honestly didn’t realize I could draw this much in such a short span of time.
That said… I feel like the quality of my work has dipped lately or maybe I’ve just sharpened my eye enough to nitpick every tiny flaw. It’s definitely taken a toll on my confidence (and my actual eyeballs from staring too hard at details, lol). So posting hasn’t felt easy lately. Still, the support I’ve received from so many of you wanting to put my art on their walls or tuck it in their phone cases has meant the world to me.
That alone makes me want to keep going. To draw characters I love. To share them, even if I don’t feel 100% proud of the piece.
Vending or “artist alley” has also been one of the most nerve-racking things I’ve done art-wise figuring out displays that collapse into puddles, or trying to find manufacturers who don’t deep-fry my art into oblivion. And every time I show up at an event, there’s a voice in my head whispering, “Did I just throw away a billion dollars for no one to care about my silly chicken scratch?” But every time, you guys prove that voice wrong. You show up. And I can’t thank you enough for that.

I want to thank you all for such a wonderful year. I never expected so many people to enjoy my work, but you all proved me wrong. It was fun reading all the marriage proposals and the most creative down bad comments I have ever witnessed in my life. It made me happy how many artists I could inspire and teach. I’m glad I made a few new mutuals along the way whether it be online or from conventions. Most of all I am grateful for your support.
I mostly drew art studies featuring characters I liked so I could improve my skills- never really any concepts that I wanted to draw. I hope I can be able to draw what’s really on my mind in 2025 and share it with all of you.:D
Yes I know that 1k DTIYS is so late LOL. As for an art shop, I’ve been looking for the best manufacturers because I want to ensure all products are quality. I genuinely want to pursue my dreams this year. 2025 no more flakiness 😅
