Jürgen war einer der prägenden Kapitäne der Lufthansa, langjähriger Ausbilder, Mentor und Wegbegleiter unzähliger Kolleginnen und Kollegen – und für viele von uns der Inbegriff eines „Pilot’s Pilot“.
Wer ihn kannte, erinnert sich an seine Ruhe im Cockpit, seinen Humor, seine klare Haltung und seine unerschütterliche Liebe zur Fliegerei. Für war er nicht nur „unser“ Kapitän der ersten Stunde, sondern auch derjenige, der uns 2005 den Weg ins Cockpit überhaupt ermöglicht hat.
