Did you know there’s a lilac arboretum at Ewing Park, with hundreds of lilac plants? Some had already finished blooming but others were just beginning, and it was the perfect setting for a delicious pie picnic. There’s no quicker way to our hearts than a slice of strawberry rhubarb or blueberry rhubarb pie!

We’re starting the season strong, and we picked over 40 pounds of rhubarb at Kayla’s farmette aka. Huge thanks to her and her crew for tending to all the lovely rhubarb that fills our pies!
We’re taking this week off from orders, since we’re baking for a special event with,, and on Saturday. They’re screening In the Spirit of Thoreau and hosting a poetry workshop and nature walk out at Jester Park, and we’re bringing the snacks. 🎉🥧 Strawberry rhubarb and bluebarb pie by the slice and brown sugar cinnamon hand pies. This event is sold out, but you can add yourself to the waitlist.
And if you love pie and nature, join us for April pie hike with! Our Lounging in the Lilacs Pike is back on Wednesday evening, April 29th. There are just a few spots left! We’ll take a gentle hike though the lilac arboretum at Ewing Park and then hang out and drink mixed berry lavender lemonade and enjoy slices of strawberry rhubarb and blueberry rhubarb pie with vanilla bean mascarpone whipped cream. It’ll be a dreamy spring evening. 🌸
