Love is the life, the forcing power of creation. Love yourself is about recognizing & seeing the uniqueness of your being. It is a fluid zone into the love to others and everything around us. But we create borders to things which hurt us, so we create passages where this love flows.
But true love is unconditional, doesn‘t have borders, neither physical, time nor expectations. We see without seeing. We know by trust, because that‘s love. It‘s there without any need of confirmation.

Was a try. An idea. And many thrown away sketches of my life. An escape room in complete darkness, not knowing when or where the next room would unfold. Sometimes I even forgot what I was actually doing there. Maybe it’s all a dream. Hopefully it’s all a dream. And still, keep searching.
Maybe the sketches don’t work as a single piece, but as a puzzle. Eventually, now that this weird year has ended, you pick them up and create an amazing mosaic, a map showing where to find the X. The treasure. The next room. It doesn’t say what’s behind it. It doesn’t tell you if it gets easier or better. But surely, it’s something else. Another try. Another chance to be optimistic. Another rollercoaster. A new season.
While mourning the past, it’s hard to thank the present. And yet, this year was full of presents. I was allowed to invite new beautiful souls into my life, making me believe in humanity again. Somehow, I made it through the year financially while finding my way back up after burning out in ’24 (and not spending money in the cleverest way). But hey, I realized my lifelong dream of going to Japan, and I’m still amazed. This trip gave me something for eternity.
I needed this year. Still, I’m as little prepared for next year as ever. No letters to my loved ones, and I’m taking my messiness with me into the next chapter. As for this year: I met my goals, but I give myself only a “sufficient.” I became creative, but only for a few days. The piano was played for just a week. Surfing? One hour, without a teacher. And football… three months until I tore my meniscus. Somehow it feels like I lost my ability to create something just for myself.
How can it be different in ’26? How can my next year’s post be a little more optimistic? Maybe the same way as now:
This year I was clumsy, falling down all over again. But here I am • standing. Being naïve and smiling. Because I have to, but also because I want to. Well, that’s already so much better.
I find the thought beautiful that, in the end, we can share the recap of our lives with the ones we love.

Probably my new favorite tattoo. It took us three sessions and some trial and error to figure out the best position for tattooing the throat. I learned so much and had an incredible time working on this project. I’m really proud of the smooth shading on the eagle and the detailed nest.
This tattoo is a reminder to me that I’m capable of doing this job. Big thanks to my friend Ben, who has trusted me from day one. From schoolmate to client to friend.

This tattoo stands for his grandpa. They had a special relationship. He was a truck driver and as a child, Nils couldn‘t say the German word for truck „LKW“, so he called it „Bika“.
