Out today, Pharis & Jason Romero - - return with their seventh studio album, “These Are The Days That Turn Into Years” on Lula Records. 🪕
Tracked in their riverside Horsefly barn, it channels four years of living, touring, parenting and banjo-building into their most open-hearted set yet — lived-in and luminous, rich with the small revelations that define their world.
“Big Time World” dances the album into life with an amiable fiddle swing, while “Last Call” beds itself into a swampy, muddy banjo texture as thick and warm as you’ll ever hear the instrument sound. Pharis’ vocals carry both exuberance and longing. There’s reflection too: “Last Night” lets the beautifully caressing textures in her voice seize the moment, and “Cannonball” rises to a rousing close on the line “dreams can be so good.”
Their style is as pure as spring water, and the closing instrumental “Lost Lula” leaves you needing time to catch your breath. It’s such a pure rootsy joyride that you’ll head straight back to the opening track to feel the whole ride again. ✨🎶
Out now — go give it a spin.

…….………
Standing on top of viewland, watching the world go by
Listen to you say it’s all right, honey baby don’t you cry
Little bit of hard times roll, nothing I haven’t seen before
Eat old spuds from a dirty pot and I’m stronger than you know
Yes I’m stronger than you know

Last call for old times
Last call to you
Last call for company
I know you feel it too

I believe to keep me warm, heating up my house real fine
Keep all the bad dreams far away, but it’s a wonder I’m alive
I could have died in my sleep last night, on the side of the road ‘fore that
I’ve lost track of how many times I thought that was that
Oh I thought that was that

Bring me honey oh bring me beer, bring me good times too
Put me in the corner of the Ranch Hotel and I’ll sing some songs for you
What am I gonna do now they took it all away
Police came with a judges’ word and I’m higher than a plane
Yes I’m higher than a plane

Wish I had a rocking chair ‘stead of these tired feet
But for now these wishes they won’t get the best of me
I drove by your house last night just to see what I could see
Lord I feel so stuck inside, won’t you kindly set me free
Won’t you kindly set me free
