Yürüyen Arşiv: Bir Komşuculuk Pratiği bağımsız küratör ve araştırmacı Seda Yıldız'ın Göteborg Üniversitesi HDK-Valand Sanat ve Tasarım Akademisi’nde sürdürdüğü doktora araştırma projesi kapsamında, Performistanbul iş birliğinde, ilk kez 3 Mayıs 2025’te gerçekleştirilmişti.
Yürüyerek, dinleyerek ve hayal ederek, Oda Projesi'nin 2000-2005 yılları arasında Galata mahallesinde gerçekleştirdiği sanatsal, sosyal ve söylemsel projelerini yeniden hatırlıyoruz. Kolektifin arşivini harekete geçirirken ve Galata sokaklarında gezinirken, güçlü bir soylulaştırma sürecinden geçmiş olan mahalleye bugünün perspektifinden bakıyoruz.
Sesli yürüyüşün ardından Performistanbul’da bir araya gelerek, Oda Projesi’nin çalışmalarını ve deneyimlerini konuşuyoruz. Kamusal alanın daraldığı bir dönemde Oda Projesi’nin komşuluk pratiğine yeniden bakmanın önemi nedir? Meydanlardan ve sokaklardan süzülen karşılaşmalar, tanıklıklar bu projeleri anlama biçimimizi etkileyerek yeni bakış açılarına olanak sağlayabilir mi? Sokaklar, meydanlar, toplanmalar sanatsal pratikleri nasıl etkiler?

About Hicham Khalidi
Hicham Khalidi has been director of the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht (NL) since 2018. He curated the Dutch Pavilion at the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia (2024) and has held curatorial roles at major international institutions and biennials, including Lafayette Anticipations, the Sharjah Biennale and the Marrakech Biennale. His work explores contemporary art, institutional practices, and the effects of the climate crisis and colonialism.

As a multi-disciplinary post-academic institute, the Jan van Eyck Academie offers artists, curators, designers, and writers from all over the world the time, space, and resources to deeply develop their practice. This presentation will provide a comprehensive overview of the academy’s structure and its core institutional mission: why we focus on fostering long-term research, how we address the ecological and social urgencies of our time, and how our tailored program supports participants through expert mentoring, well-equipped Labs, and a vibrant collaborative community.
Whether you are looking to expand your artistic research or are curious about our upcoming application cycle, this session will guide you through our open call process, selection criteria, and what to expect from life at the academy.
The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.

Radical Intimacies is an experiential laboratory that invites participants to reimagine their relationships with themselves, others, and more-than-human worlds. Inspired by the Mexican notion of apapacho—a gesture of affection, care, and presence that nurtures our bonds with others—the workshop explores intimacy as a relational practice that exceeds the relational norms imposed by colonial heteropatriarchy.
Drawing from Butoh dance, affect theory, speculative feminism, deep listening, embodied writing, and relational practices, participants engage in movement explorations, touch-based exercises, sound and silence improvisations, blindfolded experiences, and collective reflection. Through these encounters, the laboratory cultivates trust, vulnerability, and attentiveness as pathways toward new forms of kinship, care, and collective imagination.

We would like to thank our artist-in-residence, Tanja Ostojić, for sharing her methodologies of embodied collaborative artistic practice and situated knowledges, for the healing, eye-opening, and intimate experience with her workshop ‘Menopausal Embroidery Tea Party’ that has been deeply engaged with women’s experience and emancipatory feminist traditions.
