Turns out not much has changed in the art of gardening since 1572. All you have to do is ‘prepare and make a great bedde of quarter well replenished, blend of mirt with good fat earth, and placed well in the Sunne…’ - simple!
Our librarian Laura found ‘A booke of the arte and maner, howe to plant and graffe all sorts of trees’ in the archives just in time for our gardening session down at the Pembroke orchard last week.

Tickets will be scanned at the door, so make sure to have yours ready! Printed or digital tickets are fine. The lecture is sold out, and there will not be any tickets available at the door, but for those who can’t make it, the lecture will be posted on YouTube afterwards!
There will be a Q&A with Brandon after the lecture. Please try to keep questions related to the lecture topic, and heads up that, unfortunately, we are unable to take questions from people sitting in the balcony.
