We show up every day to take concrete action that feels right to us: to cut out waste as much as we can, to support organic agriculture and local food growers, to offer opportunities for many Irish makers to find fans for life, to move farther along to create a more just and circular economy, to share ideas, host swaps and workshops, to fundraise for important causes and so much more.
Doing this is a huge privilege for our team, and we hope it’s a source of hope through action for many of you as well— we think that every container reused, every local food eaten, every swap for products that help you simplify and move away from huge corporate interests is a big win.
Thank you for helping bring the light.

We love seeing how many people continue to make great swaps to cut out plastic and harmful chemicals in their daily kitchen routines:
- Brushes made with natural fibres like agave or coconut on beech wood handles for daily washing up and bottle cleaning
- Coconut fibre pads or scrubbers for tougher jobs
- Luffa sponges made entirely from the insides of plants, which can be composted after use
- Solid soap bars for general washing up, cutting grease, removing stains and more
- Household gloves made from compostable natural rubber
- Reusable cloths and towels made from bamboo or organic cotton, to be washed and used over and over rather than discarded
- Beeswax or candelilla (vegan) wraps to cover bowls or plates of leftovers, or to wrap snacks on the go, all of which can be refreshed with rewax bars
- Dustpans, squeegees, scouring sponges and more in durable materials, with components that can be dismantled at end of life for composting
or recycling

We appreciate that so many of you continue to order from us in January, to stock up on the essentials that keep you nourished through the winter season.
Our team works very hard every day to carefully pack your orders— for shipping across ROI and Northern Ireland or for collection— and we love seeing lots of grains, lentils, spices and teas, as well as a selection of prepacked foods and condiments from Irish suppliers.
Some of the best sellers at the moment are:
- Organic Rolled Oats
- Organic flour from and
- Lentils of all kinds: Beluga, brown, green, Puy green, red split
- Fragrant spices: smoked paprika, curry powder, turmeric
- Seeds to soak, toast, sprinkle
And, you can order online for collection from the shop, or drop in your containers with labels for us to fill for you (please allow several hours for this!).
We’re still reflecting on 2025–in short, it was a great year, so thank you!- and thinking about what we will add on this year, but in the meantime…
We absolutely love the hopeful, repetitive act of refilling containers with the loveliest organic foods, and we thank you all for joining us six days a week to do that. It’s the shop we want to shop in, and we are grateful that so many of you choose to shop in it, too!

Thanks so much for all of your visits and orders this holiday season, and for all your support for our seven years in business.
We wish you peace, joy, good health, cheer and connection for holidays.
We will be back on December 29th for more of what we love: refills of organic food, cleaning products and personal care essentials, plus lots of great goods from brilliant Irish suppliers.
#zerowastechristmas
We have some great ideas for decorating that doesn’t create piles of rubbish, and can be enjoyed each year.
And the best thing is, you can use these ideas with items you probably already have
Let us know if you have any other great suggestions.
We hope you have a low stress, low waste and beautiful holiday season. 🎄💚

It’s a season of generosity, gatherings, and good food...but also a moment to pause.
Small choices still matter, even at the busiest time of year.
Less waste. More intention. Same Christmas spirit. 🎄🎅🏻
We will be here on Monday and Tuesday to help with all your refilling and thoughtful gifts.
We will be off for a few days and back on December 29th.
We so appreciate everyone who has shopped local to support Irish businesses this year, we wouldn’t be here without you!

A few handwritten words can mean more than we realise, especially this time of year.
💚
- bring any clean and dry container, including paper bags, tupperware, glass jars, cotton bags or whatever you can think of
- fill with whatever quantity you want— 12 g for a recipe, or a few kilos of your favourite foods
- feel good about the quality of the products, supporting other Irish small businesses, reducing waste, having a chat while you shop with our friendly staff and more— we think it’s a better way to shop!
