A few days ago I was moaning to my mum that my pin cushion was a danger to my animals (a blind cat and a chaos-dog). I was constantly worrying that one of them would sit/land on the sticking-upright pins and needles. She dug around in her sewing basket and offered me this felt wallet (which I recognised from my childhood). It's was HER MUM'S, who was born in 1904! It's probably at least 100 years old and features fancy embroidery inside that my mum remembers stitching when she was a kid 🥹. It makes me very happy every time I see it and use it (plus it's pet safe!) She died in the 1960's, but in case she's got insta wherever she is, thank you #GwendolynViolet 💜
New wobbly pups are coming into life daily. The 'flop factor' is increasing as I get more practised with my techniques - for me, their weight and the way they move are the most important things, and it's challenging to get it right on such a small scale.

I forgot that today is a bank holiday, so the latest litter will be leaving for their new homes tomorrow. Sorry about slowness, I'm trying to catch up with paw-ders but also these little creatures can't be rushed!

I'm planning on opening an online shop at some point soon. I'm excited to think about things like logos and cute packaging and also a name for this (rather unexpected) new venture 🐶😊🩷

Update: all now sold but I'm taking orders 😊. My first litter of floppy pups up for adoption! There are 10 for now, they range in price from £35 - £55 (plus p&p). Numbers 6 and 10 are pending, so 'reserved' for now. All dogs painstakingly hand stitched and/or needlefelted. I am now using vegan 'wool' although some earlier pups are made from real wool (details on request). They are relatively heavy and floppy and lovely to handle. Not for young children due to small parts. Please DM me for individual prices. The videos correspond in order to the photos. Some of the doggies have skirts, (but you can choose to have with or without). P.s. I can make these to order so if you like one that's been sold I can make another very similar 😊

Getting ready to launch my first dozen pups for sale this week 😊. The first ones will be 'collectors' items', as in not suitable for small children due to small parts (glass eyes and noses). These new pups score highly on the 'flopometer' 😄. It's so hard to get them to move fluidly when they are so small, but LOTS of trial and error I am getting there.

I've been sewing and modelling little creatures since I was very young, 6 or 7 maybe. I'm going to look for some of my early ones and see how they compare!
