Here, a spring rises directly from the ground,
once considered sacred.
The Romans built a temple here, dedicated to the nymphs of the water.
Later, this same place became something else.
Stone placed above a source that never stopped.
Then, slowly, the ground began to give way.
The water returned to the surface, filling the interior. Now it stands open.
A church slowly descending into the earth,
while the water continues to rise, cross the stone, and flow outward, as it always has.
And standing inside,
you feel something time hasnโt erased.

I walked through corridors cut deep into the earth, where the light barely reaches and every step feels older than memory. The silence here is not empty, it holds something.
