Il primo evento della rassegna รจ un live set di Passepartout Duo, un gruppo musicale fondato nel 2015 dalla pianista italiana Nicoletta Favari e dal percussionista americano Christopher Salvito. I due musicisti sviluppano collaborazioni multidisciplinari, performance musicali e installazioni sonore in cui invitano il pubblico a considerare nuove modalitร dโascolto. La loro performance musicale si sviluppa intorno a un ecosistema di strumenti musicali in continua evoluzione, costituito per la maggior parte dalle loro creazioni originali, sia acustiche che elettroniche. Da otto anni i due musicisti sono in viaggio in tutto il mondo, sviluppando nuove idee, composizioni e progetti discografici grazie al supporto di varie residenze artistiche.

Each December, we take a snapshot of our evolving set of instruments to reflect on the year - here's this year's from Istanbul!
2025 was filled with some great moments for Passepartout:
Sharing the stage with Inoyama Land for their first ever international gig at Cafe Oto, organizing a residency for the first time in Tunis, participating in (and winning!) the Guthman competition while many folks received Chromaplanes for the first time, meeting so many friends, synthesizers, and marsupials in our first trip to Australia, taking a nauseating 30 hour art-sailing trip across the baltic sea on midsummer, playing lots of fun festivals during the summer (Fusion, Braille Satellite, Le Signal, Flow), soaking in all the vibes at Crosstown Arts in Memphis, and pressing a flexi-disc for our ongoing Pieces from Places project too.
There's so much to be grateful for here - to all the residencies, organizers, and collaborators who have helped us everyday: thank you very very much!

This time, we focus on a modified yangqin which can be play by both striking and through electromagnetic feedback - we pair the instrument with our homemade analog synths and effects too.
