I really hated the bright white after painting the rest of the kitchen……but replacing a perfectly good washer just isn’t an option for me 💰❌ In the end this helped me make up my mind:
1️⃣ It’s out of warranty
2️⃣ I can’t cover it with a cupboard and I didn’t like the idea of a curtain
3️⃣ I painted everything else (cupboards, tiles, walls etc) because I didn’t like the colour before. So why not the washer too?
4️⃣ I use the exact same wash setting every time, so I just took a photo of the settings panel for the odd occasion that might change
5️⃣ And finally (S)He who dares wins 🙌🏼 Which is the way I try to approach all diy shenanigans 🤷🏼♀️

I think it goes in the room so much better now! 🤩
I gave it a thorough clean with sugar soap, a light sand, a coat with primer, two coats of matt tile paint, using a mini roller after the brush to get a smooth finish. I only did the front panel for now as it’s permanently pushed right in.
I’m considering a top coat varnish but so far it doesn’t seem to need it. We will see how it goes over the next few weeks 🖤

When we bought this house the kitchen was solid……. But with a definite old-lady vibe! 😬 Peach floral tiles, dated cupboards, stained magnolia walls and bright orange skirting boards. But with other renovation bills piling up, a new kitchen just wasn’t close to a priority.
