The nuthatch is one of my favourite birds. It always feels like a special treat to see one of these beautiful birds in the backyard or in the forest.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been active on here. This past year has been filled with a lot of (good ✨) changes: moving to the countryside, renovating the house and creating a wonderful practice room at home (since I’m an animal naturopath). Now that things have settled down I finally felt like picking up my pastel pencils again. I can’t wait to create more art! This little nuthatch sketch feels like a great start 🤍

This little scene was inspired by the beautiful foxgloves that bloom every year around the time of the summer solstice, my favorite time of the year 🌸🌿
Also, I’ve always wanted to draw hummingbirds. I’m fascinated by their iridescence, it’s just magical!
Since these birds love foxgloves, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to draw both of them 🥰
