Jâai pensĂ© lâArtbook pour les fans de culture graphique japonaise et pour ceux qui apprĂ©cient lâillustration: un recueil de plus de 600 illustrations sur plus de 400 pages. Et avec quelques pages dâintroduction supplĂ©mentaires pour vous en dire plus sur la genĂšse de ce projet et Ă quel point il Ă©tait, Ă mes yeux, important de le faire.đ«Ą
Ma dĂ©marche Ă©tait de le faire dâabord en auto-Ă©dition car je trouvais ça plus en accord avec mes pratiques: faire soi-mĂȘme un premier livre et lâimprimer localement en Normandie. Pareil pour la distribution et le reste on apprend sur le tas, comme toujours! đ

J'en vois enfin le bout et ça y est! J'ai bien
augmenté la difficulté et la densité du dessin. Maintenant quand je regarde l'Atelier Magique, il me parait presque vide ahah.
Bon l'Atelier Magique c'était mon projet le plus ambitieux quand je l'ai sorti, mais cette fois je crois qu'il s'est pris une sacrée vitesse! J'ai presque triplé le nombre de réfs (300) pour le double de travail
(200 h). Pareil pour le nombre de couleurs, qui a encore augmenté!
Cette fois, l'inspiration principale sont les parcs d'attraction. J'avais dĂ©jĂ eu l'idĂ©e il y a un moment mais ça m'a pris du temps de la mettre en Ćuvre. L'intĂ©rĂȘt est de pouvoir relier des zones et des univers complĂštement distincts de façon assez simple en un point centrale!

C'est de loin un de mes travaux les plus ambitieux et qui m'aura valu une petite centaine d'heures de travail, le tout fait en stream sur environ un mois!
Ăa a Ă©tĂ© l'occasion de tester pleins de choses, particuliĂšrement sur les couleurs (je n'en avais jamais mises autant, quasi 40 diffĂ©rentes) et sur l'architecture avec un style plus asiatique, inspirĂ© par le Palais des Bains du Voyage de Chihiro!
