My new favourite roast in London and the best roast beef I’ve ever had - just look at those perfectly cooked, juicy slabs! Beautiful crispy potatoes, fluffy Yorkshire, gravy that’s packed with flavour and sweet carrots that were heaven.🤤
The steak tartare, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate mousse were incredible too! PLUS the barrel fermented Jordan Chardonnay - is one of my all-time favourite wines!
Their Sunday Sessions offer fantastic live jazz which sets the perfect tone for your Sunday roast in the NYC-inspired venue - guaranteed to be a Sunday well spent! 🎷

It is an absolutely stunning estate with 10 acres of vineyards in East Sussex, where Lucinda and Simon grow Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier vines. The result is a beautiful Champagne-esque sparkling wine in mouthfeel and richness of flavour due to the addition of reserve Chardonnay.
Throughout the summer they host a series of events from tastings and tours to bbqs and picnics such as these. After a lovely stroll around the estate and vineyard, we enjoyed a generous spread of local produce under the trees, from charcuterie from local producers North Charcuterie and, cheese from, fresh local bread, Lucinda’s homemade chutney and fruit from the garden!
We sampled all of Mountfield’s three wines: Classic Cuvée 2017, Rose Reserve 2020 and Blanc de Blancs 2016 before settling on our favourites (Classic Cuvée 2017 and Blans de Blanc 2016) to enjoy alongside our picnic!
This was honestly one of my favourite days from the Summer, and I couldn’t recommend the day trip enough! Visit their website to shop their fantastic wines and make sure you keep an eye on their events calendar when the picnics start up again in June 2026 - we will definitely be back!

They offer immersive dining experiences that bring South African hospitality to London. Starting with the Biltong Trolley: cured biltong carved tableside along with the story behind craft of each cut. Biltong is a treasured part of South African culinary heritage and we got to try Zebra Droewors, Wagyu Stokkies, and Beef, Chilli or Chutney Biltong.
Next up we had the most spectacular Braai Board, with a table filled with flame-grilled meats like ostrich, sirloin steak, crispy pork belly and boerewors. The board is seeved with an epic Smoking Braai Candle: slow-melting beef dripping with brai spices that gives everything the most delicious smoky flavour that’s at the heart of South African cooking.
We also had the most delish corn bread which I loveeeed.
And finishing with the traditional Peppermint Crisp Tart - a rich, nostalgic dessert that’s a South African classic

This Wagyu omakase experience was truly one of my standout meals for 2025 so far!
We went for my boyfriend’s birthday, and different cuts of the beef are grilled at your table by very knowledgeable staff.

It’s the perfect spot for a special occasion with melt in the mouth meat and the theatre of having it personally barbecued for you on your table - a 10/10 experience food, drinks and ambience!
