I think the most important thing to keep in mind is that you ALWAYS feel SAFE. We all have different levels of comfort and all have different health situations. If you don't feel comfortable traveling right now, or you have pre-existing health conditions, don't travel if you don’t need to. If you're going to be constantly worried/anxious, or you're going to put yourself in danger, don't force it. And if you're not feeling well, DEFINITELY DON’T travel. It's not worth putting others at risk.

For us, we both are healthy and (relatively) young. 🙂 So we are still planning on going to the Caribbean in a couple weeks. AT THIS POINT IN TIME, there aren't many cases near us nor in the Caribbean. Circumstances are changing DAILY though, so we’re CONSTANTLY following reports to make an informed decision. 🤓

Safety has got to be your priority. But if you've done your research and you decide to go on your trip, look into CFAR (cancel for any reason) insurance. It's different than trip cancellation insurance and more expensive. But if you're planning an expensive trip, this will help to get some of that money back if circumstances change. I'm getting it for all our upcoming trips. Peace of mind is worth it to me. 🙌

I used to ONLY like white wines. I thought red wines tasted too acidic...even the full bodied ones. I had visited Napa many times (since I grew up pretty close to Napa and still have friends in the area) but could NOT get myself to like red wine. It wasn’t until 5 years ago, when we were visiting friends in SF, that a glass of Merlot converted me. It didn’t take long til I was preferring ALL TYPES of red wine to white wine.

Scott, on the other hand, used to only like red and now he generally prefers white. Sometimes I think he did that on purpose. 🤔 But it really is interesting to see how tastes can change and develop over time.

This photo was taken in the barrel room at the James Cole Winery in Napa. It’s a boutique winery that produces premium wines. The atmosphere is low key and inviting, and the wines really speak for themselves! I ended up shipping 6 bottles home. 🤗

Whenever we think of getting away for a beach trip, we immediately think of going to the Caribbean or Hawaii or the Mediterranean. For whatever reason, we always seem to forget how CLOSE and EASY Miami is to NYC! It’s perfect for a weekend getaway for us in the Northeast!

BEHIND THE SCENES: This was taken in the village of Le Carbet, along the Caribbean coast of Martinique. It was a few minutes before sunset and I decided to fly the drone around the beach, even though I was still learning how to pilot it. As I was flying around, I got a notification that there was interference. I had no idea what that meant, and started to panic that I’d lose control of the drone, so I quickly took this shot and landed it. As I was packing it away, I realized someone else further down the beach was also flying a drone.

We couldn't stay away. We booked a trip back to Greece this summer! We only plan on visiting two islands. MILOS is a definite, as that was our favorite island. And we are thinking of going to FOLEGANDROS, a small island that we haven't yet been to, but everything we've read about it makes me think we will LOVE this hidden gem of an island!

Here are some of the reasons why we like off-season travel:
LESS PEOPLE - you don't need to fight off the crowds. And getting those hard-to-make restaurant reservations are much easier during the off-season 🙌
LOWER RATES - we all like saving 💰. Nothing makes us happier than scoring an upgraded room at a fraction of the normal rates!
ABILITY TO BOOK LAST MINUTE- we tend to plan weekend trips very last minute. I'm talking booking a hotel reservation on a Friday for that same weekend 🙈😂

SWIPE 👉 to see a video of the sunset that Lady and I are watching from our balcony at Gurney's Montauk. We came off-season and we loved it! We had the long stretch of beach mostly to ourselves, scored dinner reservations at Scarpetta, and got this oceanfront room at a great rate!

We haven't been showing up consistently for a while now. We've appreciated the messages showing concern (we ❤ you!) and asking if we are ok (we are!)

We both continue to have careers outside of IG. We use this platform as a creative outlet, and to inspire you to travel, even if you're limited by vacation days. But over the last few months, our work became much busier and we had to take a temporary step back from IG

While my workload increased, the amount of time I was able to spend on this platform decreased, and I became more anxious about the fact that we weren't posting. And because of this, I put SO MUCH PRESSURE on myself that the next photo would have to be the "perfect photo". And I AGONIZED over this! The agony continued until this past weekend when we had a 3-day Holiday weekend. 🙌 And it was exactly what I needed to REFLECT and RESET. I got over the self-imposed stress of finding the perfect one and realized sharing content that hopefully inspires you to check out new places is what matters!

So here I am, walking through the vineyards of Domaine Sigalas, a winery in Oia, Santorini. We spent a day wine tasting in Oia.🍷 Stopping at Santo Wines was a given, due to their famous patio views overlooking the caldera. But we knew it would be crowded with tour buses full of people. And we wanted a more LOXAL EXPERIENCE. So we asked the locals what winery had the best wine on the island, and they ALL said Sigalas. It's charming with a shaded patio, a playful cat mingling with the guests, and their wines really were delicious. We even brought a case home with us.

Last week, I stayed at the iconic Knickerbocker Hotel in Times Square. Our room overlooked Times Square, but the real gem of this hotel was the rooftop bar, St. Cloud!

To be honest, we had been stressing about our plans for quite a while, but we finally nailed them down! We are driving down to Florida so we can bring Lady with us. But it’s a 22 hour drive 😳. Luckily we will be flying back (found a flight that Lady can be in the cabin with us!), so we only have to do the drive once. 🙌
