I’ve discovered that if I fill my home with enough stuff (treasures) throughout the year, it doesn’t look bare when all the Christmas decorations come down 🤭

Saying farewell to 2025 with a full heart and a glimpse into a handful of little moments that brought me joy, peace and quiet magic this year 🤍✨

Thank you for being here on my journey and for all your support - happy new year for when it comes! xx

Home isn’t home without a little stuff, however you choose to label or love it.

For me, it’s an ice-cold glass of water on a hot day, my plant babies, sweet little pieces of art, and a delicious lunch served on my grandma’s plates.

The kind of stuff that doesn’t ask to be important but just is xx

It felt like it was finally time to replace the pine cones and wintry artwork with hints of Spring.

While I was moving everything into a ‘happy place’, I was also thinking about my styling method so here are a few tips you might find useful (I’ll share visuals to my stories and highlights, too):

- use key similar toned pieces placed on the diagonal from each other to balance the display. For example, I’ve used white (frame, urn and bud vases) to draw the eye up and around
- have little groupings of objects of varying height and shape, I arrange loosely in 3s usually
- step back and look your display.
Are there any awkward gaps? Does it seem balanced? Framed art is great for not only adding some seasonality but as gap fillers, too!
- there might be a colour that you’d like to introduce. Here I have introduced pops of soft green through the snowdrops (thanks mum!), diffuser, art and onyx. Subtle yet fresh.
- consider how to create height and interest. Stacked books help to elevate some items, you could also turn others out to admire the texture of the pages
- play with shape, tones and texture. I also like to have pops of brass to brighten and bounce the light around.

Ultimately, there is no wrong or right way. Just enjoy the process, whether you prefer a minimal and contemporary style, something more traditional or even a mix of both.

Congratulations if you got to the end of that long caption! I hope you like my February edition as much I do xx
