23, 24 e 25 de Abril
Numa biblioteca pública, um grupo de estranhos reúne-se para participar num clube de leitura. O diálogo em torno do livro que estão a ler e a divergência de opiniões entre os participantes, rapidamente se transforma numa discussão acesa. A ficção que leem confunde-se com a realidade e, como em tantos outros momentos da história da Humanidade, os livros passam a ser considerados perigosos e são destruídos.
De que forma a literatura pode lutar contra as narrativas polarizadas que assolam o mundo em que vivemos? Tendo como ponto de partida fenómenos recorrentes e cíclicos da história da Humanidade, este espetáculo pretende refletir sobre as manobras de distração dos extremismos para embrutecer e polarizar a sociedade.
Depois da estreia em outubro do ano passado, a Culturgest volta a apresentar Burn Burn Burn, de Catarina Rôlo Salgueiro e Isabel Costa, do coletivo Os Possessos. O espetáculo aborda a censura, a reescrita de livros e uma sociedade inflamada e polarizada. Entre palavras e sons, aproximamo-nos de um universo onde livros são proibidos e “bombeiros” queimam qualquer obra encontrada.
