In Al’s class, the outside world disappears. I just get to move, feel good, and fully lose myself in the choreography. Thank you for all of the wisdom and dance moves you shared with me in my first year in NYC, can’t wait to dance with you again soon!
To end of my first year at I had the opportunity to perform a self choreographed solo for “Freshmeet”. I created “Lucky Me” to showcase my love for musical theatre, storytelling, and performance in a 2 minute piece.
This solo is about living the life you always dreamed of, while constantly having to remind yourself that it’s actually real. It reflects on the feeling of gratitude, joy, and almost disbelief when the things you once wished for become your everyday life.
Because when the life you dreamed about becomes your reality… Ain’t that a kick in the head?
