「星くずたち」シリーズは、石を通して存在と時間の在り方を見つめる作品である。幼少期から親しんできた石をあらためて見つめ直したとき、内に向いていたまなざしは外の世界へとひらかれ、記憶と風景、自己と世界が静かにつながる感覚が生まれた。
石の表面に刻まれた模様や傷は、皮膚の皺や痕のように、過ぎ去った時間の痕跡を宿している。それらを撮る行為は、時間の層に触れながら、生きることや存在することのかたちをそっと確かめる行為である。石や肌、記憶や風景は、それぞれ異なる存在でありながら、ミクロとマクロの境界を失い、地続きにつながるものとして知覚されていく。
本展示は、瞑想室というわずかな光だけが差し込む空間で行われる。その環境は視覚を静かに制限し、鑑賞者を現実の時間や身体感覚からそっと切り離す。写真を見つめる行為は、知覚の揺らぎにとどまらず、時間や存在の層に触れる体験へと拡張され、まるで別の空間に投げ出されたかのような没入感を生む。本展で扱う湿板写真（アンブロタイプ）という写真技法もまた、撮影行為そのものが瞑想的な時間であり、空間の性質と深く重なり合う。
宇宙の視点に立てば、石も人も記憶も、同じ循環の中に漂う星くずの断片である。本作はその循環の中で生まれ、これからもかたちを変えながら続いていくシリーズだ。これはその途上に現れた、今この地点でのひとつの姿である。

The Star Fragments series explores existence and time through stones. When the artist returned to stones familiar since childhood and looked at them anew, a gaze once turned inward quietly opened toward the world—connecting memories and landscapes, self and surroundings.
The patterns and scars on stone surfaces carry traces of time, like wrinkles on skin. Photographing them becomes an act of touching layers of time, sensing the forms of living. Stones, skin, memories, landscapes—distinct yet continuous—dissolve the boundaries between macro and micro.
The exhibition unfolds in a meditation room where little light enters, softly separating the viewer from ordinary time. The wet plate process, an early technique demanding care and attention for a single image, embodies a meditative temporality that resonates deeply with the space.
From a cosmic perspective, stones, people, and memories are all fragments of stardust within the same cycle. What is presented here is one manifestation that has emerged along the way—one figure of the series at this particular moment.

「星くずたち」は、幼い頃から拾い集めてきた石をあらためて見つめることから生まれたシリーズ。
石という物体に宿る時間の痕跡に触れたとき、内側と外側、自己と世界が静かにつながるような感覚が生まれた。それは、写真を撮るという行為を通して「世界に触れる」という営みそのものが生まれ直すような体験だった。

本作「星くずたちII」では、そのまなざしをさらに深め、石・人間・記憶といったあらゆる存在に刻まれた時間の痕跡を、写真というメディアを通して見つめている。一方に連続して並ぶ石の姿は、やがて記憶を宿した遠い存在の肖像のように立ち現れてくる。もう一方に続く肌や風景、記憶の断片は、日常に散らばる時間の痕跡たちである。石の表面の傷や模様とこれらのイメージは、マクロとミクロの境界を失い、輪郭がほどけていく過程で、それぞれがそっと呼応し合う瞬間を生む。
蛇腹折の冊子は、すべてのものが地続きである感覚を可視化する装置となる。そのページを往復することは、時間の層をなぞる静かな体験となり、やがて存在と時間のあわいを辿る行為へと変わっていく。
宇宙の視点に立てば、石も人も記憶も、同じ循環の中に漂う星くずのような存在なのかもしれない。

THE BOOK ENDは時間が溶けていくような本屋で、光と時の移ろいがあの場を包み込んでいたように思います。そんな素晴らしい場で星くずたちを展示という形にできたこと、そして見ていただいたすべての方々に感謝申し上げます。
今回製作をしながら、複製技術である写真をどうやって扱うべきなのか、石に習った唯一性というものについてずっと考えていたように思います。
見て触れていただいたあとも、星くずたちがまた宇宙のように広がり、続いていくものになればなによりです。
約一ヶ月間ありがとうございました。
次は今年の春頃に、また星くずたちをつくります。🪨

昨年から引き続き、展示「星くずたち」は神戸にあるTHE BOOK ENDにて開催中です。

今回の展示では“湿板写真”という技法を使った作品をはじめて発表しています。
湿板写真(アンブロタイプ)は、19世紀(1854年)に導入された、ガラスに直接写真を撮る技法です。ガラス板に薄い像が張りついていて、背景に黒を敷くとポジティブ像に見え、そのままネガティブ像の写真として鑑賞することもできる。その像は昼と夜に別々の姿で静かな気配を放つ満月のように感じられます。
銀の粒子が光に反応することで形成された像、そしてあまりにも時間と手間のかかるプロセスを経て、見えないものを大切に扱おうとしているのだ、という自分の中にあった意識が確かなものになりました。
人間とはあまりにも違いすぎるスケールの時間が蓄積されている石ですが、傷や模様、結晶や形、そこに内包された歴史を想うことは、わたしが人間や写真と対峙することとなにも変わりありません。
そして写真だからこそできる視点の共有には、わたしが石を介して内側と外側が繋がったときに感じたまなざしの誕生や、別のものと共鳴した喜び、世界の広がりと近いものがあると思っています。
このシリーズでは、石というすでに完成された物体に近づいていくための写真を、空間や場所に合わせて形を変えながら実験感覚で続けていきます。
THE BOOK ENDという場所でしか体感することができない今回の展示に、ぜひ足を運んでいただければ幸いです。

幼い頃から石を拾っては持ち帰り、大人になっても無意識のうちに石を集めていた。自分の記憶や感情を超えて、ただそこにある石を見つめたとき、内側と外側、自己と世界が静かに繋がる感覚が生まれた。それは写真という行為を通して「世界に触れる」という営みそのものが、生まれ直
すような体験だった。
「星くずたち」は、まなざしを深くし、石を通して存在や時間へ潜っていく試みだ。石の表面に刻まれた模様や傷は、皮膚の皺や痣のようでもあり、いつかの痕跡のようでもある。マクロとミクロの境界はゆっくり薄れ、石なのか、人なのか、あるいは誰かの記憶なのかが曖昧になっていく。輪郭がほどけていくその過程で、別々のものが遠くでそっと共鳴し合うように見えてくる。写真がすくい上げる“いま”という痕跡をたしかに辿りながら、わたしは“存在する”ということの根源的なかたちを見つめている。
今回の展示では通常のプリント作品の他に、湿板写真（アンブロタイプ）という技法を初めて用い、ガラスに焼きついた像の下にプリントを重ねた作品を発表する。複製を前提としない19世紀の湿板写真という在り方は、石そのものがもつ唯一性に呼応し、わたしの視点をよりはっきりと可視化するものとなった。それは、石という存在にそっと近づいていくための、ひとつの方法でもある。
宇宙の視点に立てば、石も人も記憶も、それぞれが固有のまま、同じ循環の中に漂う星くずのような存在なのかもしれない。「星くずたち」は、そんな循環の中で生まれ、これからもかたちを変えながら続いていくシリーズだ。これはその途上に現れた、今この地点でのひとつの姿である。
ほとんど何も見えない暗室で浮き上がってくる写真を見ると、ふたたび息を吹き込んでいるような感覚になる。直視しないようにしてきた思い出たちと向き合うことの重たさや、幸せな記憶で涙を流してしまうことを、これからゆっくりと思い知っていくのだろう。
