What makes Italy and India feel so close?
The answers made me smile, because they all came back to the same things: food, family, community, passion, beauty, history… and that very familiar talent we both have for finding our own way.
Italy has the beauty that makes you stop while walking down the street.
India has the energy that pulls you in and stays with you.
And somewhere between the two, there is this friendship that feels warm, human, and very real.

As an Italian who is lucky to spend so much time in India - getting to know homegrown brands, sitting with artisans, watching what their hands can do - I’ve come to believe that…
Craftsmanship won’t die because of AI. It will survive or disappear based entirely on what we choose to buy, how often, and from whom.
These artisans exist right now. Creating work of extraordinary beauty that you genuinely cannot find anywhere else in the world. Work that carries knowledge passed down through generations. Work that takes time, real time, in a world that has decided time is inconvenient.
I’m not here to tell you what to do. I’m still figuring it out myself.
But I do think that once you’ve stood next to someone doing this, once you’ve watched their hands, you can’t really shop the same way after.
