Today, the Ontario Heritage Trust and the Township of Wellington North unveiled a provincial plaque to honour Margarette Rae Morrison Luckock.

Raised in Arthur, she was instrumental in transforming the social and political landscape of the province in the 1940s and 1950s. She paved the way for a more equal Ontario, expanding opportunities for women and working-class families.
