The existing orange tree became a key conceptual link. Trees and human beings share similar life cycles and transitions: in women, up to three generations can coexist -the reproductive material of a future granddaughter is already present in the grandmother’s womb, through the maternal line-. Trees, in turn, connect across generations through their roots and seeds.
