I’ve been on maternity leave since welcoming my baby boy in January, and I’ve been slowly finding my way back into work. March was already filled with so many beautiful sessions, couples, expecting mamas, engagements, and children’s sessions, and it reminded me just how much I love what I do.

We are so deeply thankful for God’s protection and blessings. Layne’s arrival at 37 weeks was completely unexpected, and the way we got there is something we’ll never forget.
On our way home from small group Wednesday night, we were struck by another car on the highway at full speed, causing us to spin and hit the wall twice. Everything went black and blurry, and in that moment my only prayer was, “Lord, please don’t let me turn around and see my girls hurt.” And He provided. The girls were terrified, but completely unharmed. Aaron walked away sore but okay. I wasn’t as fortunate, bruised, busted lip, chest pain from the seatbelt, but I was ALIVE! We all were!! And because of the impact, doctors made the decision to induce me immediately.
Labor was long, but despite the circumstances, it was the easiest labor and delivery we’ve experienced! We are overwhelmed with gratitude.
Tonight, all five of us are cuddled into our warm bed, and I am completely overwhelmed with joy💕
We are safe. Layne is safe. And truly, there isn’t much more we could ask for. (Our car, however, is toast 😂)
We are so incredibly thankful for the love and support that has poured in from family, friends, and even people we never expected. The moms and siblings on both sides have been an unbelievable blessing. Thank you for every message, prayer, and act of kindness, even if I haven’t responded yet 🤍
And to the staff at St. Elizabeth, you are literal angels.
