So a bit of backstory, Stephanie was actually a bridesmaid and MC at a wedding I photographed two years ago. She had a front row seat to the whole thing. Not long after she reached out, told me she loved the way I capture movement and wanted that same feeling for her own wedding. When someone’s seen it firsthand and then chooses you for their own day, that genuinely means a lot.
Oh and worth mentioning, May 23rd happens to be my wedding anniversary too. To share that date with these two legends is a privilege I won’t forget.

Let me explain.
Sometimes I’ll catch a frame that shouldn’t work, I might crop it and then sit with it. And then I’m back on location trying to recreate that instinct on purpose.
It’s kind of a loop.
The almost-missed shot teaches me something, and that something shows up in the next wedding. Of course not every frame is going to be gold, in fact a lot of them aren’t. But the ones that surprise me are usually the ones pushing my work further.
Moral of the story. Life is too short for safe 😜

My approach is creative. But it’s guided by instinct, timing, movement, and emotion. By noticing what others might overlook and framing it with intention.
