May Lily is a rechargeable light object designed as a ten-piece light garland
Each light form is made from pleated paper and gradually evolves along the chain: the first element is shaped from four paper layers, while the final one consists of thirteen. In total, 85 pleated paper pieces are used throughout the work. The form of the object reminded me of lily of the valley, which led to the name “May Lily.”
The warm white LED string lights (2700 K) are USB-C rechargeable and provide over 24 hours of illumination.
Each piece is individually handcrafted in Berlin.
