This is something I will scream from every rooftop! Nova has known place for the past 5 years and my expectation has always been to go to place with an auto down. But without maintenance work and rewarding her for it every now and then, she can get a little sloppy!
Nova is an opportunist at heart. She thinks she can outsmart anyone to get what she wants without the work. Dogs don’t do things out of spite but they do know pattern recognition. The more I let her “get away” with not following through her place command, the more she will take that opportunity to not do it correctly.

2025 has been a great and hectic year for us! This was the year to focus solely on us and being present in everyday moments. I wanted to experience life with Nova rather than experience it through my phone. It was a much needed break!

One thing I regret not getting sooner is a car ramp. With Nova’s diagnosis with early onset LS disease, a ramp would have helped ease the pressure on her back from jumping in and out multiple times a day.
I struggled finding one that was sturdy, high quality, and had a grippy material to avoid slipping. This one has it all!
I was gifted this product but these are my true and honest opinions!

I’m so happy I decided to crate train Nova since the day I got her! With her anxious personality, she feels a lot safer in her crate and views it as her safe zone.
I also feel at peace knowing she isn’t getting into any trouble or hurt herself in any way while unsupervised. Her safety will always be my number 1 priority - so that means a high quality crate as well! I’ll always recommend 🙌🏻

Since the day I got Nova, I fell in love with watching obedience videos and thinking I can’t wait to do that! 3 years later, with a lot of training, we’re still loving obedience, and we’re doing it. We’ve got a lot to learn but I’m just happy I have an amazing partner to learn with.
