The Notre Dame Hockey Office is pleased to announce the signing of forward Kylie Gerlat to the U18AAA Female Hounds program.
Gerlat (Calgary, AB) joins the Hounds from the Calgary Fire Red U15AA program. The left-shot forward scored seven goals and added 11 assists in 37 league and playoff games for the Fire last season, helping the team to a gold medal finish at the Alberta U15AA championships.
Gerlat’s favourite player is Colorado Avalanche defenceman Cale Makar and her favourite team is the Calgary Flames.
She hopes to someday play at the collegiate level and is looking forward to joining the Hounds program in September, to explore new opportunities in hockey, and to meet new people.

Rielly played two seasons at Notre Dame before moving to the WHL's Moose Jaw Warriors, and captained the Hounds to a Telus Cup Midget AAA national championship in 2010.
The Toronto Maple Leafs made Rielly the 5th overall selection in the 2012 NHL Draft and he has played his entire 13-year NHL career in Toronto.
This is Rielly's third appearance for Canada at the World Championships, competing at the 2014 event in Belarus and winning a gold at the 2016 tournament in Russia.

The girls rugby team travelled to Nova Scotia this week, settling into Governors Hall at St. Francis Xavier University after arriving on Monday. The team enjoyed practices on the varsity turf, a campus tour, and incredible hospitality from Coach Mike Cavanagh and the St. FX community throughout the visit.
The trip also featured a strong opening performance against the local Antigonish side, where the girls earned their first win of the week, a rewarding result for all the hard work put in so far this season. The team continued preparations for their visit to King’s-Edgehill School with a practice led by Coach Mike Cavanagh. Once at Edgehill, the girls attended afternoon classes alongside the Edgehill students before preparing for a couple more matches. Go Hounds! 🔴⚪️🐾
