The town is mainly known for its small but very scenic beach. Limited on two sides by rough cliffs with a few houses on their top, the lagoon is a busy spot in high season and from the seaside a famous photo motif as well. At the entrance of the beach there's a huge bridge with arches. With a little change of perspective, which only needs a few extra steps, you can enjoy another beautiful view and photospot.

Only 9 km away from Alberobello, the town that is famous for the Trulli houses, you find another beautiful town that is worth a visit. Locorotondo means "round place" which represents the shape of the old part of the town. With about 14000 inhabitants, it's a rather small community. Due to the numerous beautiful alleys with their typical white buildings, nice viewpoints and beautifully decorated backyards it is quite easy to spend a whole day exploring this town.

Castello Sforzesco has been built 1450 onwards. Theres an medieval feeling that catches you instantly when entering the grounds. The entrance to the castle is free, which makes it a popular destination for families. And the best about the amazing photo spot we found there: It is rather neglected by the main part of the visitors. 💛

Visiting the probably most famous staircase, Scala Contarini del Bovolo, had a high priority on our list of what to see in Venice. Due to the precautions against the spread of Covid-19, QR-codes were provided to reserve tickets for specific timeslots of 30 minutes. We reserved two of the 10 tickets in total for a slot two hours later.

The experience itself was a bit limited though. After climbing to the first floor, the group of 8 persons was halved - 4 people were allowed to enter the last platform to enjoy the views. For our group, the first 15 minutes were reserved for an art exhibition. We then were allowed to climb the terrace, where we received a short explanation about the views.
Afterwards, we had another 5 minutes time to take photos and admire Venice from above - which was way to short for our taste - before finally the descent had to be done.
This experience could definitely be improved as the main attraction got the smallest value in this procedure.

Nevertheless, a beautiful place that is absolutely worth a visit. 💛💛💛
