And now, it’s officially India’s most loved & most purchased hair growth serum 🇮🇳✨ — as per the Nykaa 2025 report. #AD
The WishCare Hair Growth Serum also holds a big first:
✔️ India’s first in-vivo tested hair growth serum
✔️ Clinically proven to boost hair growth & reduce hair fall
✔️ Powered by follicle-targeting actives like Redensyl, AnaGain, Baicapil & Caffeine — ingredients that support the hair growth cycle, not just surface shine.
But let me be very clear 👇🏽
Hair growth products only work when you work with them. Consistency > virality.
✨ My tried-and-true hair growth rules:
1️⃣ Massage your scalp gently every night before applying the serum (fingers or a scalp massager).
2️⃣ Keep your scalp clean — wash 2–3 times a week with a gentle, sulphate-free shampoo.
3️⃣ Don’t skip hair oiling — I oil my scalp at least twice a week.
4️⃣ Sudden hair fall or excessive shedding? Get blood tests done. Protein, ferritin & micronutrients matter.
5️⃣ Heat styling regularly? Heat protectant is non-negotiable.
Hair growth isn’t instant.
It’s biology, patience, and disciplined habits — done consistently.

Both dermatologist-recommended.
But built for very different skin needs.
Vichy Minéral 89 is a minimalist hydration booster — hyaluronic acid + mineral-rich volcanic water, fragrance-free, and ultra light. It’s ideal if your skin gets congested easily or you just want no-drama daily hydration.
La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 is hydration with repair support — hyaluronic acid paired with panthenol (vitamin B5) and madecassoside for barrier recovery and bounce. Cushier, more comforting… but it does contain fragrance, so sensitive skin should note that.
👉🏽 The takeaway isn’t which one is “better” — it’s which one your skin actually needs.
Light, fragrance-free hydration → Minéral 89
Hydration + barrier repair → Hyalu B5

🧴 Lipikar Baume AP+M = “repair + stabilise the ecosystem”
This one is built for people whose skin keeps relapsing into dryness and sensitivity.
The science (in simple words):
- Glycerin + Shea Butter = pulls water in + seals it so your skin stays comfortable longer.
- Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) = supports barrier recovery and helps calm irritation. (La Roche-Posay)
- Aqua Posae Filiformis + Microresyl = designed to support a healthier skin “microbiome balance” (think: reducing the cycle of flare → calm → flare). (La Roche-Posay)
✅ Pick Lipikar if you say:
“My skin is dry, then okay, then dry again.” / “My barrier is always unstable.”
💛 Atoderm Intensive Baume = “stop the itch + rebuild the lipids”
This one is for when the BIG problem isn’t just dryness — it’s itching and that “I want to scratch” feeling.
The science (in simple words):
- PEA (Palmitamide/Palmitoylethanolamide) = an anti-itch active that helps reduce the itch sensation quickly. (bioderma.ae)
- Lipigenium™ complex = barrier lipids (ceramides/cholesterol/phytosphingosine) to reinforce the barrier long-term.
- Skin Barrier Therapy™ = targets factors that can worsen flare cycles (like staph adhesion/allergen penetration).
✅ Pick Atoderm if you say:
“My skin isn’t just dry… it ITCHES.”
lipikar baume ap+m vs bioderma atoderm intensive baume, atoderm intensive baume pea anti itch, lipikar apm aqua posae filiformis microbiome, best balm for itchy dry skin, skin barrier repair moisturizer, very dry sensitive skin body balm, eczema prone skin moisturizer, french pharmacy moisturizer
These two “gentle” face washes have very different formulas, which means they suit different skin types.
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser = the ultra-gentle option.
It feels like a light moisturiser while cleansing, and it’s a great pick if your skin is super sensitive, easily irritated, or reacts to “everything.”
CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser = the barrier-support option.
With ceramides + hyaluronic acid, it’s ideal if your skin feels tight, dehydrated, or stripped after washing and you want a cleanser that helps support the skin barrier while you cleanse.
✅ Pick Cetaphil if: sensitive, reactive, easily stings, redness-prone
✅ Pick CeraVe if: tight after cleansing, dehydrated, dry-combo, barrier feels compromised
Your cleanser isn’t “just a face wash” — it sets the tone for your entire routine.
Comment: which two “similar sounding” products should I compare next? (Moisturisers? Sunscreens? Serums?)

Both are “repair creams” — but they repair your skin barrier in different ways. Here’s how to choose the right one for your face.
✅ La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5
Best when your skin is irritated, sensitised, or reacting to actives (think: stinging, redness, tightness, that “my skin is rejecting everything” phase).
Why it works: it leans on Panthenol (Vitamin B5) + Madecassoside to calm the look of redness and support recovery. I treat it like a soothing barrier bandage.
✅ Avène Cicalfate+
Best when your skin is over-dry, flaky, or cracked-feeling and needs more “protective repair.”
Why it works: it’s built around Sucralfate + Copper + Zinc to protect the skin and support it while it bounces back. It feels more like a protective dressing.
Simple rule to remember:
• Reactive / irritated / post-actives → Cicaplast
• Over-dry / flaky / needs protective repair → Cicalfate+
📍Dubai / Middle East skin reality: constant AC + strong actives + peels/laser + waxing/threading + over-cleansing can make your skin barrier spiral fast. Keeping one of these as a “skin first-aid” step can prevent weeks of dryness, redness, and sensitivity.
Want me to compare more “same-sounding” products? Comment: Vanicream vs CeraVe? Aquaphor vs Vaseline? Bepanthen vs Cicaplast? 👇🏽

People assume they’re basically the same “derm favourite” moisturiser… but they’re not. Only about a third of the ingredients overlap, and the rest is what changes how your skin feels, sits under sunscreen/makeup, and behaves over time.
✅ Choose CeraVe Moisturising Cream if your skin is dry, sensitised, flaky, or barrier-compromised.
Think: tightness, rough patches, irritation, stinging, or that “my skin is rejecting everything” phase.
Why it works: it’s built like a barrier-lipid cream with ceramides + cholesterol + hyaluronic acid to support the skin barrier and reduce transepidermal water loss (that constant dry, tight feeling).
✅ Choose Cetaphil Moisturising Cream if you’re combination, or you want cushy comfort without the heavy ‘sealed’ feeling.
It still moisturises extremely well, but can feel more wearable for daily use, especially if you hate sticky/heavy textures.
Why it works: it leans into niacinamide + panthenol + comforting emollients for a smooth, hydrated finish.
📍Dubai / Middle East skin reality: we live in constant air-conditioning — and AC can quietly dehydrate your skin even if you’re oily. If your skin has been feeling drier lately, adding one of these moisturisers regularly (or even a few nights a week) can seriously help your barrier.
So: CeraVe for dry/barrier repair. Cetaphil for combo/comfort.

Here’s why (and this will save you money + skin stress):
1) It’s an antiseptic ointment, not a daily moisturiser
Boroline contains boric acid which is designed to support cuts, rashes, cracked skin… not normal facial skin every day.
2) Rich ingredients can be reactive for some
It also contains lanolin which can feel amazing on dry patches, but on the face it may trigger sensitivity or breakouts in some people.
3) Occlusive-heavy = can trap gunk
Its base is petrolatum/occlusive-heavy meaning it seals the skin but doesn’t truly hydrate it the way a proper moisturiser does.
If you’re oily/acne-prone, daily use can trap sweat + sebum + dead skin and show up as closed comedones and even milia (especially around cheeks/eyes).
4) Zinc oxide ≠ sunscreen
Yes, zinc oxide can be soothing, but Boroline is not an SPF-tested sunscreen. Don’t replace your sunscreen with it.
✅ Use Boroline like a treatment ointment: cracked heels, elbows, chapped spots, flaky patches.

If you have a HA / snail mucin / bean essence sitting in your drawer with “6 months left” on the label, this is your sign to USE it.
3 genius ways to finish it up (and actually see results):
1) Damp hair leave-in: ½ pump → palms → mid-lengths to ends.
Pro tip: seal with a little leave-in conditioner or hair oil for extra smoothness.
2) Dry patch rescue: dab on flaky spots → wait 20 seconds → press moisturiser on top.
Makeup sits so much better.
3) Foundation hack: 1 tiny drop into your foundation (on the back of your hand) = less cakey, more skin-like.
💡 Reminder: HA works best on slightly damp skin + sealed with moisturiser.

Stop scrubbing them raw — do this 2x/week instead. 👇🏽💋
The “Lip Reset” routine (gentle but effective)
Step 1: Gentle exfoliation (NOT harsh)
• Take a glycolic acid toner on a WET cotton pad
• Why wet? It dilutes the acid a little, so it’s gentler for lip skin
• Gently swipe/rub on lips for a few seconds (no aggression pls)
Step 2: Add water + hydration
• Add a few drops of water on the lips
• Apply ONE tiny dot / 1 drop of any hydrating serum:
Hyaluronic acid / snail mucin / bean essence / PDRN / ceramides
(Anything that hydrates + supports barrier works)
Step 3: Seal it like a lip mask (10 mins)
Apply a thick layer of ONE of these:
• The Ordinary Lip Balm (hydrating formula that actually moisturises)
• La Roche-Posay Cicaplast (repair mode for angry lips)
• Physiogel (barrier support)
• Boroline (as a mask, not your everyday lip balm)
⏱️ Leave for 10 minutes, then dab off excess.
Step 4: Finish
Seal with Vaseline or your favourite lip balm.
✅ Do this twice a week
☀️ Daytime non-negotiable: SPF lip balm, especially if you’re outdoors.
If your lips are constantly cracking: check your toothpaste, lip licking habit, and matte liquid lipsticks. 🙃
Save this for your next lip crisis + share with the friend who’s always peeling their lips. 💌

In the video, I’m showing you my simple rotation:
✅ Retinol-based body lotion (2–3x/week) → follow with moisturiser
✅ On the other nights: AHA/BHA body lotion → follow with moisturiser
Now, as promised… BONUS TIPS👇
1) Use an African net sponge (the real one).
Look for an authentic African net sponge on Amazon. Use it every shower (not harshly). It gives you gentle, cloth-based exfoliation that adds up over time — and makes your skin feel crazy smooth.
2) Skip waxing (especially if you’re prone to bumps). Choose shaving instead.
Waxing pulls hair from the root, which can irritate follicles and make KP / “strawberry dots” look worse. Shaving is often a calmer option for sensitive, bumpy-prone body skin.
3) Once a week: glycolic toner on the body (easy upgrade).
1 night a week, swipe a glycolic acid toner (like The Ordinary Glycolic) on areas with bumps/dots → then moisturiser on top.
Think of this as your “stronger exfoliation” night — once weekly is enough.
Reminder: don’t do everything on the same night. Keep it simple + consistent for 6–8 weeks.
