Ya lo había dicho antes y aquí nos encontramos sintiéndolo de nuevo, porque hay momentos en los que aparece ese elemento curioso y de sorpresa, ese “ah, no sabía que así también son ustedes” y al descubrirlo, tiene todo el sentido del mundo. Desde el primer instante nos sentimos parte de, porque así viven Gaby y Alf, nos abrieron las puertas de su mundo con confianza y una calidez muy suya. Nos regalaron la libertad de documentar a nuestra manera, de mirar cómo miramos, de crear sin interrupciones, entrando en un ritmo casi meditativo.
Es imposible no darte cuenta de la manera única en que recorren la vida Gaby y Alf, con un profundo agradecimiento por vivir y un amor inmenso por su gente, por sus familias: el centro de su ser. Una conexión que se siente hasta el corazón, firme, inquebrantable.
Juntos son todo lo que uno espera encontrar y presenciar en una pareja el día de su boda, y en la vida en general: un amor honesto e inspirado, de esos que le dan aire al momento, que te recuerdan tu propio porque; un amor luminoso, alegre, aterrizado.

Cuando nos conocimos por primera vez, hubo una chispa; era claro que había una conexión, y ser invitados a su mundo, bueno, se sintió una vez más como si estuviéramos exactamente donde debíamos estar.
Cada vez que fotografío a una tocaya mía, pienso en la experiencia compartida de escuchar nuestro nombre a lo largo de la vida, en cuántas veces hemos oído o dicho exactamente lo mismo a alguien solo por compartir nombre. Las posibilidades de experiencias paralelas se expanden, se vuelven más tangibles; es algo interesante y un punto de experiencia compartida, de conexión.
Mentes brillantes, personas únicas y hermosas con corazones enormes, profundamente enamorados… de esa forma en la que, al verlos, tú mismo te sientes un poco más enamorado. Es una experiencia bastante mágica la de Nicole y Daniel. Y realmente disfrutaron su boda; había esa chispa en sus ojos, una alegría profunda, sintiéndolo todo, absorbiéndolo todo, hasta la última gota.
Daniel y Nicole son amados, profundamente amados por quienes los rodean, y una pregunta en torno al sentido de la vida, y también el título de al menos varias canciones clásicas latinas, “amar o ser amado” no dejaba de cruzar por mi mente, porque al observarlos era claro que ambas cosas existen al mismo tiempo, en armonía. Tal vez no debería ser una pregunta; tal vez mejor podría ser “amar y ser amado”, una afirmación de la vida, estamos aquí simplemente para amar *y* ser amados.
Su amor, este amor que dan y el amor que reciben, es un verdadero regalo, una sensación que nunca olvidaremos.

They welcomed us in, unconditional trust. And their people, some from a short flight north and others from a far longer trip than most would agree to, but for Talia and Ryan, one would do it, many did, and of course they did.
The words shared that day were clever clues into their existence; nothing beats hearing a speech, a conversation, delivered with impeccable timing and only the essential details, emotion and humor, which of course the Irish do with a certain remarkable effortlessness. Eavesdropping felt like a gift that day, a pastime additional to observations.
On a hill above the sea they were married, smooth transitions between cool rooms and extraordinarily warms terraces, mixing culture and tradition in a place we once called home and a place that is now forever woven into their story too.
And Talia and Ryan, they are really good people, you notice this irrefutable fact in their every interaction, small gestures of care, big moments of joy, you can just feel it your bones watching them as we did. Beautiful souls finding one another, as it should be.
Witnessing them on their wedding day was joy, we are grateful, still holding frames in our minds of what was that day.
