Ogni martedì, iniziando da oggi, racconterò, a chi vorrà seguirmi, pillole di passione legate alla mia storia e a quella del Drifting, la disciplina che ho portato in Italia e amo da oltre vent’anni.
Tra aneddoti e personaggi molto speciali vi coinvolgerò in un mondo che nel giro di qualche decennio ha rotto con tutto ciò che conoscevamo del motorsport entusiasmando anche chi, pubblico, racing drivers e addetti ai lavori, riteneva la specialità dei traversi solo un grande fenomeno da “baraccone”.
Invece, guarda quanta maestria c’è nel governare un’auto oltre i limiti della fisica e quanta tecnica nella sua preparazione. "Prototipi" travestiti da berline con oltre 1000 cavalli in corpo. Potenze da F1 ma da guidare di traverso! Fantastico o no?
Per me, cresciuto a pane, velocità e pista, il drift è una meraviglia. E per tutti gli altri che amano i motori e godono di un video di traversi ma non vanno oltre la conoscenza, cosa può essere?
Così mi sono detto: mettiamo giù qualcosa che aiuti a capire. Cos’è il Drifting e come si guida in derapata una RWD (Rear Wheel Drive: trazioni posteriori, gente, quelle e solo quelle).
Questo ho pensato. Poi mi direte se ho fatto bene… Intanto buona visione.
