🏃‍♂️We are delighted to share that Harry Halleen (ON 2025) has been selected to compete for Australia at the World Athletics U20 Championships in the USA in August!

Harry, who was the 2025 Captain for Cross Country and Athletics, smashed a 20-year record at his last AAGPS Athletics Championship. He will now contest the 800 metres for Australia at the University of Oregon alongside some of our country's other world class athletes. These include U20 world record holder for the 200 metres, Gout Gout, and U20 silver world championship medallist, high jumper Izobelle Louison-Roe.

🏃‍♂️Newington teacher and Ironman Australia Legend, Mr Neil Scotney, is running the Sydney Marathon in August to help not-for-profit organisation TRIMOB empower Indigenous athletes and their communities.

With a fundraising goal of $3000, Mr Scotney is accustomed to competing in triathlons, comprising a 3.8km ocean swim, 180km bike ride and a 42.2km marathon-length run. He has finished 14 of these herculean races to date, and the Sydney Marathon will be his sixth standalone marathon.
