One of the North East's most loved coffee shops now transforms into a gorgeous evening venue at 5pm, serving up delicious small plates, cocktails and wines.
Such a relaxed, cosy vibe where you can easily sit for hours! All of the food we ordered was delicious and there was such a great range of flavours!
The menu will be changing seasonally which gives you a perfect excuse to return and try more of their dishes! You can tell they have put a lot of thought into it and love what they do!
Plates are served when ready but we didn't have much of a wait at all between our dishes so it gave us the perfect amount of time to start on each one! Sharing is encouraged but not required. I would definitely recommend sharing so you can try a great range of dishes.
We ordered:

House Focaccia

📍Low Fell
This lovely little restaurant serves up delicious, fresh woodfire pizzas! Super cute inside with some lush decor and a great beer garden for this heatwave!
Their menu has changed since we visited but they still have some amazing options and a great range of pizzas! Pizza is their main dish but they do also offer some salads and small plates too!
Such a unique, fun experience right here in the North East!
This was located in Chopwell woods and started judt past the car park, right next to the forestry classroom.
It's available to book every sunday at 1pm and costs £35 per alpaca but these can be shared between up to 3 people. We booked this over on their facebook page.
The walk was super easy, no steep hills or steps and was a very relaxed pace! The alpacas were a lot slower than I expected 🤣
The first ever adults only night was last night at the Life Centre and it was super fun! Loads of acitivities, experiments and so much to keep you entertained while actually learning! It was great to be able to explore eith kids wanting to play so you get your own space and can enjoy the games!
Tickets are £15pp and it's open from 6pm until 9pm which gives you 3 hours to explore at your own pace! Don't forget to see one of their planetarium shows which were every 30 mins and so relaxing! These lasted 25 mins and it was a really interesting/beautiful show!
They also had a bar to buy drinks/snacks but the actusl cafes were closed.
This was the first event of its kind so keep an eye out for any future events!

📍 Metrocentre
I adore sushi so love having another sushi option while I'm shopping around! The service is so fast and food is delish!
This was my first time trying their ramen and the portion was massive! Great amount of steak, which was lovely and pink and super tasty! The broth had loads of flavour and definitely filled us up!
Sushi is always fresh and made to order, you can even see them making it on your way in. They have loads of classics and some more unique rolls like the panko salmon roll. Definitely a different experience having a panko sushi roll, especially since it's served warm but I loved it! These were just so so massive, had to take a couple bites for each one!
We ordered:
Steak tataki ramen
Dynamite prawns
Steak tataki nigiri
Salmon panko roll
Tiger roll
