There were no headlines to chase, no recognition to seek, and no reward to gain. Just ordinary men answering an extraordinary call.
Blood, sweat, aching shoulders, and countless sacrifices became part of their offering as they prepared to carry the throne of Our Lord Jesus Christ through the streets of Punchbowl on the Feast of Corpus Christi.
What thousands witnessed on the day was beautiful. What few saw were the months of dedication that made it possible.
This procession was built by faith, sustained by sacrifice, and offered entirely for the honour and glory of God.
To every man who gave of himself so that Christ could be carried through the streets — thank you. Your work became your prayer. ✝️🙏🏻
Led by Cardinal Mykola Bychok, alongside Auxiliary Bishop Richard Umbers, numerous priests, religious sisters, and seminarians, hundreds of faithful gathered to accompany Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament through the streets.
At the heart of the procession, 60 Catholic men carried a magnificent throne bearing the Eucharist on their shoulders — the result of months of sacrifice, preparation, and dedication.
As prayers were lifted and hymns echoed through the streets, the procession became a moving reminder that faith is alive, Christ is present, and His people are unafraid to proclaim Him to the world.
In a city that never stops moving, for one moment all eyes were fixed on Christ. ✝️🙏🏻

Key Mystical Realities in the Mass:
Christ is truly present—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity—in the Eucharist.
The sacrifice of Calvary is made present—not repeated, but represented in a real and active way.
Heaven is united with earth—every Mass is a participation in the heavenly liturgy described in Revelation.
We are not spectators, but co-offerers with Christ, lifting our hearts and lives to God in union with His sacrifice.
When the priest says the words of consecration, it is Christ Himself who speaks. When the offering is raised, it is Christ’s eternal gift to the Father. And when we receive Holy Communion, we are drawn into divine life, transformed by grace, and sent forth as living tabernacles.
This is why the Mass is called the source and summit of the Christian life (Lumen Gentium, 11).
It is not just devotion—it is divine encounter!
We see this beauty not just in our churches, but in the sacred baptisms that welcome new life into the family of God, in weddings that unite hearts in a covenant of love, and in the solemn processions that carry Christ into the streets for all the world to see.
From the altar to the everyday, the Church celebrates the mystery of heaven touching earth.
He is with us — in every step, every vow, every blessing. 🙏
