We just wrapped a top 50 out here this week on the tricky Arkansas River for the last Bassmaster college event of the year. It honestly came down to two things this week. The first is our Andy Morgan Series Flipping Rods using a 1/4-1/2 ounce Texas Rigs with Creature Baits. Those rods allowed us to pull fish out of the thick vegetation and help us put more bass in the boat. The second thing was the we ran the 721 ZXL all the way in 20 inches of water just to get to our main area! Paired with the Yamaha SHO, this boat can truly do it all!!!

After a long season of learning these new Oklahoma Lakes we were finally able to pull off a big win. We caught the biggest bag and bass I’ve ever had on Grand Lake, Day 1 of the tournament with 23 pounds with a 7 pound kicker, then backed it up with 15 pounds on Day 2 to get the win. I’m honestly super blessed to be able to get back to back wins. With this win we are headed to the Bassmaster National Championship!!! All of my gear worked flawless this week while dealing with 30+ MPH winds. My 721 ZXL kept us comfortable all week. This week it came down to my Electronics powered by my while throwing a minnow on the Jack Hammer Series Spinning Rod. We are back on the road though and I will see yall in two weeks at Robert S Kerr for the last event of the Year!!!

I’m speechless to say the least. I’ve gotten so close in the last two years while fishing in college to getting the win,but we were finally able to pull it off. I just want to thank everyone for the support I get on the road without y’all this dream wouldn’t be possible. From Oklahoma State to my family and friends to my young supporters, all of yall mean the world to me.My powered by my and using my Rods were amazing this week. If it wasn’t for those there would be no way I could’ve have done it. Thank you everyone and I will see yall next week the Oklahoma State Championship on Grand Lake!!!

Overall walked out with a good event this week. We got some very good points going towards the northern division to try to qualify for the championship this fall. My New 721 ZXL was an absolute unit this week. Super comfortable ride with a crazy top speed, you just can’t beat it! I highly recommend y’all head down to and check one out!!! I caught them scoping this week with a Jerkbait and Spook thanks to my Units powered by my. Those two combined make it very helpful out on the water tracking down fish and finding structure. See yall at the Invitational at St Lawrence in a few weeks!!!

I’m happy to announce that I will be transferring to Oklahoma State University in the fall. It’s always been a dream college of mine and can’t wait to get my Marketing Degree from there. I plan to fish the MLF Toyota Series as well as the MLF Invitational’s or the BassMaster Opens. It’s a big step in my career but I’m very excited to see what the future holds in Stillwater.
