A weird glitchโฆ a driver misbehavingโฆ an update breaking something that worked perfectly yesterday.
Microsoftโs latest plans for Windows 11 could be a big win for stability, especially for businesses.

Drivers control everything from keyboards to Wi-Fi and graphics. When one goes wrong, the whole PC can wobble. Many drivers run in kernel mode (deep system access), which is great for performance but risky when something breaks.
Microsoft is raising the bar with tighter testing, validation and security requirements before drivers can run on Windows 11. The aim: fewer crashes, fewer โrandomโ issues, and more consistency.

A new recovery feature that can roll a device back to a healthy state if an update or driver causes havoc. Think of it as a modern System Restore that actually helps, covering apps, settings and even local files. Itโs currently aimed at businesses using Intune.
These changes will take time, but the direction is clear: a more reliable Windows experience.

Windows 11 is reintroducing the Soon youโll be able to click the clock and instantly see your dayโs meetings and events, pulled from Outlook/Microsoft 365, without opening another app.
Why did Microsoft remove it?
Windows 11 was not just a redesign. The taskbar, Notification Centre and Quick Settings were rebuilt from scratch, and a few everyday features did not make it back on day one (remember missing drag and drop?).
The returning agenda view is designed to be quick and clean: click, see your schedule, get on with work. And because itโs Windows 11, thereโs an AI angle too. Selecting a meeting can surface Microsoft 365 Copilot options like joining, summaries, notes and follow-up prompts (where available).
Also, yesโฆ the seconds display on the clock is returning too.
Do you prefer the Windows 11 look, or are you still hanging on to Windows 10 favourites?

If your team uses Microsoft 365, take this seriously.
Cyber criminals are sending fake ๐ ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ณ๐ ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฎ๐บ๐ ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ that look completely legit: Teams branding, meeting IDs, organiser details, the lot. The goal is to get you to click โJ๐ผ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ป๐ผ๐โ.
But the link does not take you to a real meeting. It sends you to a ๐บ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ณ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฏ ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ (hosted on a compromised Azure site) asking you to โconfirm attendanceโ. If you approve it, you can accidentally grant the attacker access to your Microsoft 365 account.
That permission can allow the fake app to:
โ Sign in as you
โ Read emails
โ Access files
โ Send emails as you
โ Keep access even after a password change
These invites are often sent from compromised GMX Mail accounts and can pass common email checks (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), so they may land in the inbox looking โcleanโ.
๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ: slow down. Check the sender address, preview links, and be wary of urgency.
Would your team spot a fake Teams invite, or could this catch someone out?

Thatโs ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฝ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐.
A haptic trackpad doesnโt physically press down. Instead, tiny motors create a vibration that feels like a click, wherever you tap.
Now Windows 11 is testing new haptic feedback that could make everyday work feel smoother. For example, when you ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐ฝ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ผ๐๐ into place (tiling apps neatly on screen), you may get a subtle vibration as confirmation. Small detail, but if you live in Outlook, Teams and spreadsheets all day, those cues can make multitasking feel quicker and more natural.
Microsoftโs also patented a โhaptic-sonicโ trackpad that can ๐น๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ผ ๐ถ๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐ป ๐ฐ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ and auto-tune the vibration over time so it still feels crisp as the hardware wears.
For businesses, itโs a reminder that tiny UX upgrades can reduce fatigue and cut down mis-clicks across a whole team.
Would you want smarter haptics on your next business laptop, or do you still prefer a proper physical click?
