We are all at a ❌ CROSSROADS ❌

🔱

We pray for guidance on how best to proceed. Our society is sick and wants us divided. The technology of resistance and unity present in so many afro diasporic traditions can show us the way. We just need to come together and listen.

🔱

Make sure to catch debut of her new work "Cross Roads" inspired by our efforts to come together as a community and take a path that will lead us to more unity, abundance and understanding. She will be sharing her poem at 7:30 p.m. at the Viva Collective before we head out for our annual celebration of San Juan Baptista, celebrating the afroenezuelan tradition of " Tambor".

We will also be manifesting, participating in and celebrating other Afro diasporic traditions such as Samba, capoeira and stomp and shake cheer.

📣📣📣 Catch Lady V debut of her latest piece: ❌“Crossroads”❌ around 7:30 p.m. at the Viva Collective on Friday, June 19th.

🎙️Her powerful WORDS give even more meaning to the themes we are considering this year. We are all at a Crossroads. We need to make a choice on how best to continue, we pray for guidance on how best to proceed. We are inspired by the innate, levity and freedom of the monarch butterfly 🦋

🦋It symbolizes our freedom to migrate, move, dance, confront, and unite. 🌟

These traditions have given all of us so much. They teach us about our true history, they celebrate survival in the face of oppression. They give us tools to build community despite living in a society that wishes to keep us apart. They bring us health, joy, storytelling and an opportunity for personal expression. We are grateful.
