Year of the snake is still going strong, grateful that I don’t look like what i’ve been through though🐍

I have too many 2025 lessons to summarize for you in a series of swipeable slides but please enjoy my homage to the last season 🤲🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🪽✨
Past life experiences 😌🌊🧜🏾‍♀️
The cosmos are chaotically swirling (but really it’s divine order) and I feel like I haven’t exhaled in a year. This time of year always feels like a necessary clearing however even for me, this one is quite intense and disregulating 🌪️ 🔥

Back to back eclipse portal, pitru paksha, new moon, equinox and the start of Navratri has to be the clearing we need for more lightness to emerge & space for the exhale to happen.

Finding this first image by Vaddadi Papaiah a few weeks ago felt like a little prayer and reminder just for me, new light. Tending to the inner fire, continually transmuting and honing that sacred rage to be a tool of creation rather than my inner destruction 🪔 🔥 ✨🌹🌞

s/o to for keeping me going and being the voice of my inner dialogue.
Slide 8 is me convincing the universe and my ancestors that i totally embodied the lessons and i’m so chill rn so pls stop beating my ass🦋❄️

I hope the coming days, weeks and months only bring you clarity but with peace, spaciousness, ease in your chest and solar plexus and you remember to unclench that jaw (and butt).

xx 😘

Finally was able to bring out my gorgeous handloom organza overcoat from my sister to complete my ethereal angel on earth vision 👼🏾 🧿

Happy devi day & aquarius full moon from an aqua moon 🏺🌊🌝

I imagine if Venus was born in Panjab she would emerge with her dark long braid, plaited with gold from the middle of where all five rivers meet to form the heart of Panjab ♥️🌾

The sound of the banga on her wrists matching the twinkling of her jhanjara as she dances onto the shores. The sun casts a shower of light glimmering from her gold baaliyan and her koka too. Her joyful honeyed laughter echos through the fragrant tahli and peepal trees.

She is the flowers and their fragrance, she is the trees and their ripened fruit, the titlis hiding among them all, she is the mineral rich earth on the edges of the shores, she is the wind rustling amongst the leaves, the sun on sparkling on surface of the water, she is a vision, a poem, a woman and she is divine.

🌸Bad Bitches have bad days too-

After having more than my fair share of them and spending many years neck deep in self healing work, I realized that as highly sensitive person I didn’t have the proper nourishment, support & boundaries in my environment (amongst other things) which eventually led to developing anxiety.

Because of my Pitta dominant nature, I was able to override the signals quite easily for years and be very high functioning, until I couldn’t any more and the anxiety became debilitating. Even with the blessing of my existing foundation of meditation, pranayama, Ayurveda, herbalism, wellness, my spiritual path, therapy etc, somedays/ weeks/months it was difficult to stay afloat.

I spent this last year extensively exploring even more practices and modalities because I am a firm believer & practitioner of integrative medicine and holistic healing. Depending on where you are on your journey it’s important to explore everything you have access to and create a tool kit of what works for you and your unique needs.

This is a very brief and oversimplified understanding of anxiety according to Ayurveda, I will create a longer and more detailed #navinote if capacity allows but for now, this can serve as an invitation for you to research and add to your toolkit.

As always, a reminder that *Ayurveda is a spiritual and medical science, not a trend* so it’s imperative that you always work with or consult a practitioner before beginning any new protocol and always check for contraindications for your specific symptoms & body.

This end of the gregorian year, “new year, new me”, post holiday stress, diet, family dynamics, grief bs will have anxiety creeping in on another level. So instead, focus on being more aware, prepared, rested, and gather your tools to just be a badder, flyer, healthier, authentic you. ✌🏾🌸💖
💌 I leave you a #navinote I’ve been meaning to share for sometime based on my experience in the “wellness industry” especially over the last two years.

Personal, business or otherwise, relationships take work to build and maintain. The digital space and having easier access to people and tools has had its benefits but also made us forget that real humans exist on the other side of our devices and how we interact with one another defines the world we live in.

I’ve gotten countless messages, dms and emails asking for my time, labour, expertise or support and I noticed a pattern that many of these requests didn’t actually factor me in at all. Many felt like one sided demands or inauthentic attempts at connection in exchange for something irrelevant to me.

Other times I noticed that when I asked deeper clarifying questions or negotiated aspects of their request, I never heard from them again (including big brands with whole ass teams working for them.)

Being on the receiving end of those can be draining on our energy and made me feel unseen for who I am and what my work stands for. As we all strive to make shifts in our life, my wish for all of us is to be more authentic, operate with integrity and clarity in every facet of our life, including our work, how we earn, how we build community and how we create equitable exchanges online and offline.

As someone who spends a great deal of time and effort to level up and understand the alchemy of my energy, I offer this opportunity for reflection to anyone who wishes to level up in how they connect with healers, creators, artists, teachers etc.

So many of us are working damn hard to embody our full worth so honor that in one another.

May all our bags be stacked, opportunities be aligned, abundant, purposeful, and expansive and our communities be filled with healthy and supportive soul family in 2022 💵 ✨🧿

The lack of acknowledgement and support from the wellness community for the Farmer protests happening in India right now has been deafening.

If you are a practitioner of yoga, pranayam, meditation, Ayurveda or any ancestral healing modality, especially if it is not your own, it is your responsibility to understand the role you play. The wellness industry is not exempt from being complicit in harm just because you have good intentions.

The use of indigenous herbs, practices and medicines from India by wellness practitioners and businesses without acknowledgement and support of its origins is contributing to the oppression of India’s farmers.

Without the backbreaking labour of India’s farmers, you would not have the turmeric, black pepper, ashwagandha, ginger, tulsi, rose, brahmi, ghee, and every other medicine you use, make a living from and heal from.

If 2020 has taught us anything it’s that you either contribute to the liberation or the oppression of people through your energy, the work you do and the way you do it. If you have not kept up with my stories or know what is happening, I encourage you to take the time to read/watch my Panjab highlights for information on what the farm protests are about, the role of my people from Panjab have played in leading it and why.

🌾There is also a link of resources in my bio that is regularly updated with current needs on the ground in Delhi🌾.

If you have the privilege to not take time out of your day to do at least one of these things, when you sit down at your next meal or take your adaptogens, think of my elders in their 70s and 80s who have given their lives to that land and have been sitting in freezing temperatures protesting outside for the last 9 days.

They’ve planned, organized and trekked for days, been blasted with water cannons, hit with tear gas+shells, been without proper toilet facilities, medical help, experienced brutality, barbed wire, barricades during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC so ALL farmers can have their rights.
