I’m getting my 4runner aka my home on wheels, ready to hit the road for another journey south. Today we’re replacing my worn out hood struts, a daytime running light relay, and changing my oil and oil filter.
I’ve been doing all my own vehicle maintenance for the last 16 years and while I didn’t have the intention of doing it this long, it’s been one of the most important skills I’ve learned in my life.
I want to demystify working on vehicles. Granted I have a lot of experience at this point but when I started out of necessity, I had none. With the help of forums, YouTube videos, and blogs I’ve been able to fix everything over the years with just a basic set of tools.
I’m excited to share this journey with yall and show all the ups and downs of being your own mechanic and hopefully you’ll learn something along the way too.
