I get asked this all the time — at the gym, at the studio, in the grocery store, you name it haha
And people usually go straight to:
“Did you do IVF?”
“Do twins run in your family?”
We conceived naturally. But there’s a more important part of this story. After a few months of trying to get pregnant, Andrew encouraged me to go get blood work done. Honestly, I expected to hear what I already believed about myself: that I was healthy, active, teaching, moving, eating fairly well, and probably okay?
Instead, my labs showed my cortisol was sky high.
And when the doctor walked me through the results, we connected some dots I never would have guessed on my own — especially around how much caffeine I was drinking, how much stress my body was carrying, and how those things were likely impacting my hormones.
So I made one very specific change: I cut my caffeine by about 60%. I honestly can’t live without coffee so it was hard for me but I did cut enough to tell my body something different because 30 days later, I took a pregnancy test.
Positive.
And a few weeks after that, we found out there were two babies in there.
I want to be really careful with how I frame this, because fertility is tender. This is not me saying, “cut caffeine and you’ll get pregnant.”
I have friends — people I adore — who have lost babies in the same season I’ve carried mine. I am deeply thankful my journey has looked the way it has, and I have empathy for the women whose stories have been harder and full of grief.
I just want to offer insight & hope.
Getting blood work done gave me actionable data points and it allowed me to make changes.
I just wanted to share with the hope it inspires someone out there. If you’ve done blood work or labs, I’d love to also hear about your experience as this is so great for all women!!
I love these babies so much and truly cannot wait to meet our sweet boy and girl.
But then my doctor casually reminded me that twins can come as early as 29 weeks and my brain immediately went from “aww, baby kicks” to “WE DO NOT HAVE THE DIAPER STATIONS DONE, THE BAGS PACKED, OR A FULLY FUNCTIONING NURSERY.” 😜
We were actually supposed to take a little weekend trip to Chicago, and after a very real heart-to-heart with my doctor, I realized that if these babies decided to make their debut there, we could potentially be living in Chicago for 10 weeks.
So… looks like we are staying here. 😂
I am so thankful to be 28 weeks in, still moving, still teaching, still training, and still feeling strong in this very wild season. My goal is to keep training for as long as my body, my babies, and my doctor allow — all the way up until delivery if I can.
Not because I have anything to prove.
Because movement has been one of the ways I feel most connected to myself, my body, and these babies as everything keeps changing.
And I have to say — this little internet corner of people cheering me on has meant more than you know. Every message, every “you’ve got this,” every fellow twin mom or pregnant mama who has reached out… I feel it.
So yes, baby boy and baby girl, we cannot wait to meet you.
But respectfully, your lease is not up yet.
Stay cozy. Stay growing. Stay inside of me PLEASEEEE.
Mom loves you so much.
And Mom is still very much in charge. 😜😜
In my first trimester, I leaned hard on Andrew my husband, who’s constantly telling me I’m gorgeous bigger. I love when I come home and he says “I love your big belly.” That type of partner support is exactly what you need when you’re trying to rework your old frameworks and stories as you become a mom.
Untangling that “shrink to fit” myth has blown my mind and I really have loved learning firsthand that growing bigger is expansion! It’s expansion of who you are, of life and even your own ideas! It’s why becoming a mom for me feels like literally unlearning what you thought you knew so you can be the best for your tiny humans. 🥹🥹
So this Mother’s Day, i just wanted to share what I’ve learned: your value isn’t a number. It’s who — and what — you grow. It’s how you expand your capacity in the most beautiful of ways to handle more life and new ideas.
And keep the people who remind you of that closest. 😘😘
Happy Mother’s Day to all!
Someone asked why I was “so comfortable” with my belly out today. It was definitely accusatory lol
Because I’m 28 weeks pregnant with twins, nothing fits, and I just taught a 45-minute class where I kicked my own ass to do it - I think its fine haha. But the bigger point is this: bellies are celebrated in fitness when they’re flat, toned, and “acceptable” — but questioned when they’re pregnant, softer, bigger, or changing.
Pregnant bodies belong in fitness spaces. ALL bellies belong in fitness spaces. Doesn’t really matter what it looks like does it? LFG.
I freaking love this topic. And I just went through this shift as I was looking at teaching closer to to home and becoming a mom. I got asked in my DMs this question and wanted to yap about it here. Do you agree with these points? If you’re on the new instructor side, I hope this is helpful for you because there truly are SO many options and places to teach.
The question is are you putting your energy in the right space for you at the right time...and can you make back the investment of whatever it is you’re going to be training in. It’s gotta make literal sense and DOLLARS AND CENTS so you don’t go broke getting into fitness.
Drop me a comment let’s discuss.!!
But I didn’t want to.
I wanted to show up as this version of me.
26 weeks pregnant. Growing twins. Slightly nervous. Fully aware that my body looks different than it ever has. And honestly? More proud of it than I’ve ever been.
I did my fit session the day before just to find something that actually fit for the shoot — and then I showed up pregnant as heck because I wanted to remember this season for the rest of my life.
Not as the moment my body got “too big.”
As one of the strongest moments of my life.
These photos will be on the digital signage at lululemon — which is so surreal and so cool — and I cannot wait to see which one they choose.
But more than that, I hope another pregnant woman sees this and remembers that movement in this season does not have to look perfect to matter.
Whatever it looks like, it counts.
And it is so, so worth showing up for. 💖✨
Also shout out to my apprentice Maddie - who makes it easy to have fun with. Training instructors at our new studio in rhythmic spin at Altar in this season has been extremely rewarding!🥹🥹
This morning got up and rocked it out for my ambassador shoot with by my side to cheer me on.
Pregnant bodies deserve to be seen in fitness spaces, and I’m really proud to represent what showing up can look like in this chapter of motherhood and to have the support of people, spaces and a brand like Lululemon.
BTW, we’re launching Cycle at in La Vista by The Astro in the next….

After nearly a decade teaching at Fly Fitness — an experience I’m deeply grateful for — I’m stepping into a new chapter and teaching in new spaces across Omaha as I build the next phase of my movement career.
Here’s where you can find me:
LIFETIME FITNESS OMAHA
Spin & Strength fusion — Tuesdays/Thursdays at 12:00pm.
This community has already become a second home. Andrew has taught yoga here for three years, and we’ve both felt the family-first culture in such a real way. I’m grateful to Beth Russell and the entire leadership team for supporting this next step. You’ll also see me subbing across formats.
LOTUS HOUSE OF YOGA
Starting March 1st, I’ll be teaching Spin/Sculpt at 9:15am Tuesdays/Thursdays. If you know MC Sweet, you know this space is magic. I’m honored to step into Audri Saylor’s classes as she moves into her next chapter.
ALTAR (Papillon)
I’m thrilled to join as a CORE Instructor, collaborating with and an incredible senior team to help shape culture and programming. Catch me Mondays/Wednesdays at 4:30 & 5:30pm (mat Pilates + strength) and Sundays at 8:30am (strength) and 9:30am (spin). Opening in 30 days.
And in 30 days, I’m launching Act II — my wellness brand built to reconnect us in a disconnected world. With rising loneliness and digital isolation, my why remains the same: bringing people together through movement, creativity, and joy. Expect pop-ups, collaborations, and community-centered experiences across the city.
I’m stepping boldly into this season — grateful I don’t have to do it alone. Omaha is the heartbeat of everything I build. ❤️
We’ll keep moving. Keep creating. And keep proving wellness isn’t just about the workout — it’s about belonging.
TWINS.
Coming soon to you, July 9th. 🥹🥹🥹
