I started this portrait entirely from scratch, without any photo tracing or transferring, quite some time ago. I still need to adjust the values and finish the earrings.
Today is Marilyn’s birthday, and although it’s not finished yet, I wanted to share the painting. Using several photo references, I’ve created an improved version of Marilyn’s portrait from Frank Powolny’s famous photo session, focusing on achieving better foreshortening and angle, I slightly modified her pose.
