Today felt like the perfect occasion to visit Saigon to Paris as they opened their beautiful new storefront on Airport Pulling Road after many years of operating in the industrial park since 2020!
We arrived shortly after noon, and a few tables were already filled with longtime loyal guests, which spoke volumes about how loved this place truly is.
My daughter and I have visited their industrial park location many times over the years, often with friends, and we always appreciated the thoughtful balance between their Saigon ( Vietnamese ) offerings and their Paris (French ) inspired selections.
This afternoon, we settled into their stunning new bar, surrounded by rich blue velvet barstools accented with gold trim. A YouTube video of Paris played softly on the television, creating the most lovely backdrop for us to reminisce about our trip to Paris last summer. It felt both elegant and comforting.
We shared spring rolls, beef pho, and a ham and cheese croissant. Everything was light, flavorful, and deeply satisfying, making it a lunch we enjoyed completely and without guilt. With this culinary gem located just 5 minutes from home, we already know we will be returning often.
The staff, as always, were incredibly sweet and welcoming. The bakery case was filled with tempting baked goods, and we are especially looking forward to returning for Lavazza coffee, buttery croissants, and the beautiful éclairs that caught our eye.
They are currently in their soft opening phase and are awaiting additional booths along with their liquor license ( they already have an extensive wine and beer list ) so a little patience and kindness go a long way.
It is well worth the visit!

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was not just a dinner, it was a carefully curated experience that captured the very essence of coastal elegance.
DUSK offers a sophisticated Asian fusion menu, where each sushi creation is crafted by a world-renowned chef with precision and artistry. We indulged in delicate small plates that seamlessly combined traditional flavors with contemporary flair, savoring every bite while enjoying the warm glow of the sunset.
Our experience was made even more special by our delightful server, a young lady named Coco, whose warmth and attentiveness added a personal touch that we will remember fondly. It was also a pleasure to meet chef Manoz Maharjan, whose passion and expertise shone through in every dish.
The restaurant itself is a modern twist on a classic Florida boardwalk hideaway. From its sleek décor, oversized lanterns, and soft, inviting colors to the meticulously designed bar, every detail transports guests to a beachside twilight retreat. The terrace, overlooking lush gardens and the shimmering pool, offered the perfect backdrop as we sipped creative, hand-crafted cocktails exclusive to DUSK.
This experience wasn’t just about the food, it was about the moment: the laughter we shared, the quiet admiration of the sunset over the nearby Gulf, and the feeling of stepping into a world that balances luxury, comfort, and charm with the utmost grace. DUSK at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples, truly made our evening and the close of 2025 an extraordinary memory, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an elevated sushi experience that includes sashimi, nigiri, foie gras, wagyu beef, uni, roe and truffles!

From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a winter wonderland!
Cozy seating, twinkling lights, and the feeling of being tucked into your own little holiday oasis made the whole experience feel special and intimate.
We started with some tasty holiday cocktails Mistletoe Limoncello and Golden Noel!
Dinner was served family style, which made it feel relaxed, followed by a festive spread of desserts and s’mores that brought out the kid in us.
Watching a holiday movie under the stars, wrapped in blankets, with great food and even better company was such a memorable way to celebrate the season. It works beautifully whether you go with family, friends, or plan a sweet night out.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this would be something extraordinary. The welcome was warm, intentional, and undeniably personal, with owners Veljko Pavicevic and his wife Corinne Ryan themselves setting the tone. That sense of care followed us throughout the evening and lingered even in the farewell, an over the top goodbye that felt heartfelt and gracious, the mark of true hospitality.
Seated at the intimate chef’s table, my friend Paola and I surrendered completely to the moment, placing our trust in two world class, charismatic chefs. There is no menu at Omasava, only the journey. Each course unfolded with quiet precision, artistry, and intention, allowing time to slow as the experience revealed itself one exquisite bite at a time.
Omakase here becomes a sensory voyage. Seasonal ingredients, harvested locally or flown in at dawn from Japan’s most revered markets, are transformed through time honored techniques into moments suspended in time. Sashimi, nigiri, and temaki arrived flawlessly composed, each preparation thoughtful, restrained, and deeply respectful of the ingredients.
Every detail surrounding the meal reinforced the feeling of reverence. I have never seen a restaurant use such exquisite tableware. Fine china, Baccarat crystal dinnerware, and even crystal hashioki elevated the experience beyond dining and into ceremony. For the evening, we truly felt like royalty.

From holiday magic like the Resort Cart Parade, tree lighting, marina strolls with live music, cookie decorating, ornament making, letters to Santa, and even meeting Santa himself, every moment felt straight out of a coastal Christmas dream.
We dined at Redfish Grill, savoring Gulf-inspired favorites like Crab Cakes, the Roasted Beet Salad with Shrimp Skewer, and the fresh catch of the day in a light, airy setting near the Bayview pools. Another highlight was dinner at Harborside, where Italian steakhouse flavors met stunning marina views. Think seafood towers, fresh pasta, lamb, and rich, flavorful steaks paired with island cocktails.
Mornings were made easy thanks to Provisions, the newly redesigned market stocked with breakfast bites, groceries, and grab-and-go treats.
We stayed in a Two-Bedroom Beach Villa, just steps from the white-sand beaches and Gulf waters. With sunset views, a full kitchen, and access to exclusive Club Captiva amenities, it was the perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and island living.
