There use to be a time that I was afraid that people wouldn’t like my love for color, not only in my work but also in my wardrobe. In that time I made a lot of dotwork and linework illustrations and dresses a lot in darker colors. Although I’m embracing my love for colors in my wardrobe, I still switch once I a while back to pen and ink.

Ik ben heel erg dankbaar dat ik dit heb mogen doen en heb mijn werk opgedragen aan mijn vader, die afstamt van de Maroons en super blij was met het boek( check de foto).
Daarnaast ben ik zo trots dat ik nu, in mijn optiek, in de geschiedenis boeken sta ( zie mijn emo hoofd in de laatste slide;)

Vanaf deze dag is het boek Koloniaal Rotterdam, stad van vandaag en morgen gratis voor de inwoners van Rotterdam verkrijgbaar in alle Rotterdamse bibliotheken. Het boek laat de lezer kennismaken met het koloniaal en slavernijverleden van Rotterdam.

De andere Rotterdammer is zich niet bewust van dit verleden en de specifieke rol van de stad daarin. Zondag 5 juni regende het zo bizar hard op dat werken in mijn optiek niet echt haalbaar was.
Volgens mij is er wel 2 cm regen gevallen. Maar ik wilde niet opgeven en zo ver als dat het kon probeerde ik mijn mural af maken.

Dan maar zo;) dikke trui aan en way to oversized niet waterdichte jas van mijn bf aan, koptelefoon op en gaan met die banaan.
