Questa medaglia è molto più di un traguardo personale per me.
🛂Dopo due anni di protesta per la mancanza della cittadinanza italiana,
🏃🏾♀️ questa maratona a Parigi mi ha dato la forza di tornare a gareggiare, di sfidarmi e di rimettermi in gioco.
🚧La corsa, anche se in passato mi ha tolto qualche soddisfazione, oggi mi ha insegnato che non corro più per vincere una medaglia, ma per dimostrare che si può essere campioni anche senza arrivare primi. 💫
Oggi è un nuovo giorno, e la vera vittoria è celebrare i propri successi, grandi o piccoli che siano. Ognuno ha la sua strada, ognuno ha la sua STORIA

Sono arrivata in Italia nel 2005 con mia mamma e le mie sorelle, avevo poche certezze ma tanta speranza.
Ad oggi, ho passato più anni qui che in nessun altro posto. Ho fatto le scuole qui, ho imparato a correre qui, i ricordi più belli della mia vita li ho vissuti qui, penso e sogno in italiano.
In Italia ho trovato persone che mi hanno aiutata, amata ed insegnato molto. Persone che mi hanno dato l’opportunità di crescere e di scoprire le mie passioni e mostrato come coltivarle.
Con tanta fatica ho corso ovunque per cercare di costruirmi la realtà della vita che sogno. In tutti questi anni non mi è mai stato regalato nulla!
Nel 2015, dopo dieci anni in Italia, ho presentato la richiesta per la cittadinanza, ma purtroppo ho trovato tanti ostacoli e porte chiuse davanti a me.
Per me l’Italia è casa e per otto lunghi anni ho sperato. Mi sono promessa di non mollare mai, perché è un mio diritto essere cittadina italiana a tutti gli effetti.
Mi sono detta:
Nessun vincolo burocratico,
Nessun commento razzista,
Nessuno sguardo denigratorio,
Nessuna partecipazione negata in nazionale,
Nessun momento di sconforto sarebbe mai riuscito a fermarmi, ed oggi, possiamo dire di avercela fatta.
È dal 2005 che lotto contro la burocrazia senza mai smettere di correre verso il mio obiettivo.
Ringrazio le persone incontrate sul mio percorso che mi hanno supportata ed accompagnata fino a qui.
Oggi finalmente ringrazio l’Italia da italiana.
