Just had to check myself because I felt myself becoming really anxious and overwhelmed because it’s now Jan. 5th and I haven’t really “started” to do all the new things I want to accomplish this year.
Thought I would share because it’s so easy to put all the pressure on the beginning of the year like we don’t have 365 days in a year! Yes time flies, yes it’s great to start off strong, but sometimes that isn’t the reality. Maybe your year started with a cold, maybe your goal was to go for a walk every day and it’s been raining, maybe you have KIDS!!! Not here to make excuses but these are real life things that can easily alter your plans.
Don’t let these things make you GIVE UP, but it’s ok to start a new goal when you are mentally ready. Maybe that’s Jan 1st, maybe it’s on a random Wednesday.
At the end of the day, as long as you START, that’s what is most important.
And if you have young kids! Pssh! You get a gold star just for taking a shower today. You have already accomplished more than me. 😂

So I tried to think of what else we could throw 🤔 & as I watched my boys do their favorite nightly thing; throw their clothes at each other while switching into PJ’s, I thought of the large pile of single socks!
As you can see, the only person who was thinking about “what we didn’t have” was me.
Taking this lesson into the new year. Trying to worry less about the “aesthetic” and just capture AND post the raw family moments.
